The Only Thing They Fear Is Us [DOOM]

The marine and Lucas pressed forward. They stopped dead in their tracks when they saw a cyber-demon. The marine tossed Lucas a rocket launcher and started running towards the giant demon. Lucas struggled to hold the massive weapon and accidentally pulled the trigger. The missile hit the cyber-demon in the arm. The demon turned to Lucas and shot a rocket straight at him. The missile made contact with Lucas. He fell to the ground. He looked at his legs.  They were gone. His consciousness slowly faded as he bled out.

The marine killed the enormous demon after only a couple of minutes. Once it was dead, he looked around for Lucas. He noticed the imp's top half lying on the ground. He rushed over to Lucas. He put his head on Lucas's chest. He heard a faint heartbeat. He picked up the demon's body and sprinted into a building nearby. 

He looked around and saw a ton of metal. He picked some up and slaved away to make a new bottom half for his... Friend? Partner? Acquaintance? Doesn't matter. He finished in less than an hour. He hastily put the sloppily made metal legs onto the dying demon. He sat there for what seemed like hours before Lucas's bright blue eyes opened.
