"?? ????'? ???? ??? ?? ???, ??? ????'? ???? ?? ?? ???..."
Everest Wright was a simple girl. She liked simple things. But living in space meant hardly ever getting simple.
And when you're in a cell about to be u...
Lexa was summoned by the guard who found Everest. She rushed towards the girl, demanding to know what happened.
"What the hell happened to her?!" Lexa shouted, anger evident in her wide eyes.
"I-I don't know. I heard screaming and I found her here. I'm sorry, Heda," the guard bowed his head quickly, remorse in his voice and guilt that he couldn't stop the attack.
"Find someone to help her, now!" she yelled, holding her hand over the wound, hoping to help the girl.
"Lexa," Everest rasped out, her voice weak as her chest heaved, trying to catch a breath.
"You'll be okay, I'm right here," the Commander quickly assured, brushing one of her bloody hands against Everest's cheek.
"The writing...in the cave-" Everest was cut off by the blood in the back of her throat, turning slightly to cough it out.
"What writing?" Lexa questioned hurriedly, hoping Everest would know a way to help herself.
"Fire...I need-" more blood spewed out of her mouth before she could finish her sentence.
No sooner was the guard returning. There was no healer in Polis, not anymore, the best the guard could bring was the Fleimkepa, Titus. Along with those two, Elliot, who was concerned for his friend.
"Titus, help her," Lexa demanded, scooting aside slightly, not moving her hands from the wound.
"I don't think that's possible, Heda. She's lost too much blood, it seems," Titus frowned slightly, seeing the blood pouring out of the stab wound like a fountain.
The three dragons that were once in the room had made their way just outside the door where Everest laid.
The three small creatures curled up beside Everest, screeching loudly as she slowly bled out. Fire tried to emerge from the young dragon's throats, but they were much too small, instead all that came out was the mournful screech.
"Elliot," Everest coughed out, reaching a hand out for him.
"My Haiplana," he turned his head down slightly to bow, greeting the girl with sorrow.
"The fire," she breathed out, her chest slowing and eyes closing.
"What are you talking-" Elliot cut himself off, having a moment of realization, "The cave," he mumbled.
