Hello dear readers,

I know off late I have not been around much. So, I thought of doing this where I discuss my writing plans, read your thoughts on it, give you answers to your questions I would have missed, and decide my writing priorities for the coming year.

2022 came with a lot of hope and brought light to many of our lives after all the chaos that has been around since 2020. It still feels like 2020 was yesterday, but here we are all set to enter 2023. I know for some of us even 2022 must have been hard. I hope the year has been kinder than 2020 and 2021 for you.

I was just reflecting back and realized that I haven't written much this year. However, ATLOL has been the star of this year for me. I have received so much love for it, perhaps a little less than what Nik and Sharu got. ;) not complaining!

I am looking forward to deliver more books in the coming year because my drafts folder has increased significantly in size. There are so many ideas, concepts and characters I want you all to meet. However the time I give to writing has significantly reduced. There's career, then there's fulfilling my dreams and then there is the –Shaadi Karlo Beta! pressure that I am trying to deal with. It doesn't help that all my classmates, batchmates and other friends are either engaged or hitched or happy parents. 

Anyways, to put it in simple words, 2023 might turn out to be like 2022 for me in terms of writing.  I miss those days when I used to write so much that there would be a list of books that I would have completed by year end. This year, it's only Along The Lines Of Love (as far as I remember). In A Heartbeat was merely edited.

Along The Lines Of Love

I can't get enough of all the love you've been showering upon this one. Almost everyday when I open wattpad, I am welcomed with notifications of votes and comments on this book. And there are times when I end up reading chapters and give myself a pat in the back for writing it. When I had initially started it, I had never thought it would turn out to be what it is today. A big thank you to those readers who read it while I am writing the book and share their thoughts on every chapter, it goes a long way in improving the story on the go and also helps me write better.

In A Heartbeat

I was surprised by how much people enjoyed this book after I reposted it. The editing was rewarded well! 

Dear Husband, Yours Only

Okay, I know some of you hate it. I understand if this book isn't the one for you. I just want to appreciate and thank those readers who pushed me to keep going and complete this story as I had planned it. Not every story goes by ones expectations and this one is exactly like that.

What next?

I have a bunch of ongoing books. 

One of a kind– I think this one has a lot of potential and because of my inability to give it time, it's not turning out the way I would like it to. I am planning to rewrite this one from the start. 

Falling For The Wicked – so this was supposed to be 1 of a series of 3. I need to work on the plot of this. I just went out on a limb and posted it and now I get all the pressure to continue it. I will. Not immediately, because I need to work on the plot line for the entire series. The reason why I hate doing series, it demand time, a lot of it.

The Dating Dilemma – this one was supposed to be a easy short chapters book. I sort of left it hanging because other interesting ideas had my attention. 🙊🙈

The Drafts!

Okay now I have about 50 drafts, yeah not kidding, each of these have chapter one ready. Some of them have like 3 4 chapters. One or two even have the cover ready and I just need to click on publish. 

So every time I am working on one book and have the eureka ideas, I pen it down as a draft and save it for later. Doing this I have so many, like so many books in my drafts waiting for my time.

Three of them are college romance. Three to four are marriage tropes. Two are celebrity romance books. One is a thriller. The others don't fit a criteria as such. 

Now, I would like to know what kind of books you would like to read. So that the one from my drafts that best fits the bill, I will take that up next.

So opening up the floor for your views. What kind of characters would you like to read? Something that's different from what I have already tried? Something that you rarely read on wattpad? Or something you often read on wattpad but what me to try it out? Something out of the box, you'd like me to try out as a writer?

 I am open to reading your thoughts Also, Thanks for all your well wishes and support throughout this year.

P.S. — if you have a prompt/blurb for a novel or novella, I am open to that too. But it must be really interesting and different :)
