I SEE YOU | neteyam x poc

As I was finishing up teaching the children to ride ilus , I hear a familiar voice say " So what do you think about the Sully boys" Knowing it's my sister from the tone and also they way this was her 50th time talking about them,

" Reya we interacted with them one time and that one time was barely an interaction" I say ready to walk away , " Well father said we have to teach them to ride the ilu so get use to their company mai" She says , I go to complain then think of the consequences that would come from her and my father , thinking against it.

" Let's just get this over with" I say as she silently claps her hands together .

As i'm whistling and clicking my younger to call the ilus over i hear " What are you doing that for" From neteyam , I look back at him seeing the sneer look on his face , I roll my eyes continuing to call the animals til they come to the surface " I that's how you them smartass". Since he wants to make such smart remarks I say " Hop on i'm your teacher " ," Will it try to kill me ?"

"No they aren't aggressive creatures , Now mount her" He scratches the back on his neck doing as i told him to do , " Make the bond and feel her as if you both are one molded together" He does as i say making the bond gently ." bend your knees , cross your ankles and hold on tight" I say putting my hand on top of his gripping her rein tightly , as i let go of his hand he also lets go.

Thumping in between his eyebrows with my middle finger and thumb I look at him and say "
you are like a child, very disobedient" Saying that i put his hand back onto the rein letting go when he keeps a tight grip, " Now go , the first ride completes the bond" I say as he dives into the water.

Walking over to My brother and sister i ask " How did your training go" Tsireya mumbled it was alright as i turned back to the see awaiting for the sully boys to resurface , As they do they are without their animals, behind me anoung is laugh dramatically loud while the boys are walking back over ,Ilus right behind them.

"I told you to to hold on tight" i say to neteyam , he mumbled something under his breath as i laugh calling my ilu over. "Follow my movements and you will be successful" Mounting my ilu nuzzling into her gently while making our bond , he does the same to his staring at me watching my every move very intently , gripping her handle tightly watching as he repeats my action, " Now when we dive hold onto your ilu , not too tight tho"

Diving into the water him and his ilu follow closely behind me kiri suddenly comes along side us also riding an ilu . As we ride through the water i look back and see kiri and tuk staring at all the fish and other sea creatures we pass on our journey.

As we come up from the water i see reya and lo'ak  talking to each other getting a bit too close for comfort, so i quickly but quietly dive back underwater and swim towards them ,me and my ilu jumping out the water creating a big splash and falling back in causing them both to fall off their ilus and into the water .

I laugh as they both come back up with unamused looks on their faces and say " lighten up you act like i just almost drowned you both"

After me and tsireya finished up the "training" with the sullys I went to the beach and laid down, below the ankles in the water and the rest of my body on the sand , just laying there thinking with my eyes closed when i hear " hey" knowing who it was from the soft yet deep voice.

keeping my eyes closed i speak " wassup neteyam , what can i assist you with today" i say jokingly but somewhat serious .

" I just wanted to thank you for teaching to ride the ilu" He says standing there awkwardly, awaiting my response. " i was forced to don't get used to the generosity " he mumbles an oh, scratches the back of his neck then says " Can i sit with you ?" I turn my head and look at him for a moment wondering if i should say yes or no . I look in his eyes ,close mine, turn my head back upwards  And mumble " Sure " loud enough for him to hear.

He settles down beside me laying in the position i am currently in , us sitting in silence listening to the waves crash amongst themself and the ilus either swimming by themself or playing with one another . seeing as he is still quiet knowing he didn't just come here to sit i say look over at him seeing him just looking at me " what ?" i say with a sneer on my face , " nothing you're just really pretty" he says smiling a bit after .

I side eye him looking him up and down " preciate it gang" i say holding my hand out for him to dap me up . He looks at my hand like it's infected or something then back at me , i look at him , roll my eyes,  take his wrist and clasp his hand in mine and rolling our fingers together into a ball.

After dapping him up i stand up dusting the sand off myself and start walking on the beach , when i don't see him walking beside me i stop and look behind me saying " you comin ?" ( ew this line is so cliche like ew nigga be fr) He stand up quickly letting a a little "yea" before trailing beside me holding his elbow in his hand.

" Why did you and your family move here neteyam ?" i question hoping for an answer.

He look at me like he's processing what i just asked and trying to think of a way to answer it. " As you know my father was one of the sky people which explains " he holds up his hand displaying all five of his fingers, " the extra finger" i look at his hand ,his face, then his hand again . " He betrayed his people and now they're out looking for him for i don't know , some type of revenge" i respond with a simple "oh" As i'm about to say something else to him I hear "MAI'ARI" From tsireya , i sigh putting my hand to my forehead and mumbling and apology to neteyam before jogging over to my sister and going to eat dinner.

I wanna take this book slow yk bc the other books I read the second chapter loak or neteyam is grabbin the girl by the waist and kissin her and shit .
