Once the objective was accomplished, they all got on a gunship once again, but Jade and Fives were on different sides. They hadn't spoke since the ordeal, but Fives watched her nervously, though she didn't show any signs of discomfort. It made him uneasy, and he had to have a word with Kix if he didn't get one with her first.
They returned to the cruiser, unboarding the gunship as all the clones dispersed. Jade was still processing the situation, so she stood there for a moment before she could even move a muscle.
"Jade," Fives started, walking up to her and placing a hand on her shoulder. "What happened?"
She couldn't gather any words for it in the moment, so she just looked at him for a long time. His brown eyes filled with worry, his eyebrows wrinkled together, and a frown hanging on his face. She stepped off the gunship finally, and straightened herself up.
"You got shot, and now you're just all fine?" Fives mentioned, impatiently. The more he thought about it, the more it didn't make sense.
"Not a word to this about anyone. I didn't get shot on the battlefield. Got it?" She threatened. Her voice was low, and her eyes darkened. Fives wasn't having it.
"I saw you get shot. What happened and why can't you tell me?" He argued. They both earned looks from passerby's, and Jade grabbed onto the top of his chest plate to drag him away from the busy walkway.
"I don't know what happened out there. Just give me some time. But for now, don't say anything. Especially to Anakin." Her voice softened for a moment. She seemed helpless, but Fives knew better than to pry her more. She had already scared him a bit.
"That's an order, trooper." She added, voice threatening again. He only nodded before she turned and left him standing there.
Once Jade got to her quarters, she got into her datapad to search up anything that could explain what happened. Force healing abilities? Never heard of apparently. Healing with the force? Nothing. She searched and searched, for what was actually three hours. She didn't intend to go this crazy over it, but she couldn't help it. She was getting frustrated not being able to find anything on it. She might have to wait to be at the Jedi temple and see the archives.
She sighed, and pushed her chair away from the desk she was at. She ran her fingers through her hair and gripped slightly, only pulling out a few hairs. She decided to get in the shower to clear her head, and wash off all the dirt and grime. She undressed herself and stared at the area she had been shot. There was a scar there that looked to be months old. She drug her hand across to feel the scar tissue, and shivered at the grim thought. She shook off the dark thoughts, and washed herself off.
Once she was finished, she decided to get into new clothes, because the clothes she had on now had a gaping hole in them. She changed into a green halter top, with black cargo pants and black boots. She looped her lightsaber to the new black belt that was secured to her waist. After all the hours of war and worrying, she realized that she was now hungry, and decided to go to the mess hall and grab something to eat.
She entered the mess hall, and scanned the room. She spotted a small group of clones sitting at a table, watching as Anakin dramatically moved his hands around, standing at the end of their table. The men laughed at the general, until he broke his character after spotting her enter.
As Jade placed food on her tray, Anakin showed up next to her, inspecting the food.
"You probably don't wanna eat that." He suggests, with a joking smirk behind his words.
"Oh? And what do you expect me to eat?" She responds, not looking up at him.
"Anything but that." He jokes again. She rolls her eyes as they get to the end. "Join us?"
