Chapter 54: Serendipity

As there was no tv or stereo and they didn't want to leave Handong in silence all the time. They were usually taking her to the music room where she could listen to Yoongi's playing different instruments. Or just watch a real comedy, observing how Yoongi is struggling with not yelling at Jungkook, while the younger sometimes was making mistakes on purpose, just to see Yoongi praying for patience.

Other times one of the five was reading her a book, until she fell asleep.

Actually Woosan and Gahy were dragging her everywhere. Just so she won't be alone. Once Wooyoung and San kidnapped her from the bed and took her to the library where they all were going to play board games. Wooyoung was pretending she is the player and he was consulting every move with her, making her smile a lot.

Gahyeon bent and kissed Handong's cheek, whispering:

'Thank you...'

She fixed her bed and ran out of the room.

'You are on mom duty!' she screamed to Yoongi, passing him in the corridor. 'I'm busy!'

Yoongi frowned and followed her. He stood in the doors to their father's office, when Gahyeon was looking through the showcases.

'Busy with what?' he asked.

'The devices were invented by Min's corporation.' She said fast. 'I want to check what they actually are.'

Yoongi widened his eyes.

'How do you know?'

'Mom told me.'

'Okay... but... they took the computers...'

'They did. But you know dad hated to look into his laptop too long. And liked to scribble on the paper. So he had printouts about everything...'

'He did. But he would drown in that so they are not here.'

'Some are here. And he was messy. So everything is catalogued in mom's office.'

'It was a long time ago. They could change it...'

'That's what I want to know. When they were invented and for what exactly! So don't disturb me!'

'Okay...' Yoongi said, trying not to get too excited.

He wanted to go prepare dinner, before Jungkook would end his practice with San and Wooyoung. He still felt guilty about what happened. Even if the younger tried to do everything to show him he doesn't need to...

Yoongi didn't use Taboo. He wasn't able to. It seemed nobody was... Jungkook had some kind of protection and his resistance was indescribable...

But still, even causing him just physical pain... and being forced to do it...

Yoongi felt dirty and disgusted with himself...

He should have protected him... And instead the Younger even during that violent act was the one who protected him...

2nd of November 2071, Uljin

'We are moving to Yeongcheon.' Taehyung said. 'Uncle Kai and aunt Jenni are staying here. Appa, dad, aunt and uncle Hobi are going to Andong to check on Naeun what news she has and check on some people. They will join us in a week in Yeongcheon.'

'In the meantime we will visit Chengdo Prison to ask people who stayed there about possible entrance to the city behind the wall.' Dami said. 'We will start to observe the city.'

Minji was looking at the map.

'Remember to change squads. Don't take a risk, when we will be in Andong and healers won't be around. Baekhyun and Chanyeol will tell me...' she glared at the youngsters.
