Fairy Godmother's jaw dropped in surprise. "E-excuse me?" She stuttered. She was taken aback by the innocent question. "Do you know anything about my dad?" EJ asks again. Fairy Godmother noticed from day one that EJ was the more reserved and quiet of the eight. She even noticed Uma, Harry and Gil seemed to look after her. She walked up to the young winter spirit looking concern.
Fairy Godmother gave her a sorry look. "Sorry I don't." She told her. EJ was about to walk out of the classroom frustrated and nervous. "If you don't mind, why the interest?" EJ looked up at the teacher. "No reason, just curious." EJ answered vaguely.
At the Tourney field
"Jay, Ben, offense. Chad, you're defense. Taylor, you're the shooter." Coach Jenkins shouted. One of the players shouted, "Right, coach!"
Coach Jenkins saw Carlos wandering around the field. "Hey. Hey! Hey, you. Lost boy! Put your helmet on. Get out of the kill zone! Come on." He shouted.
Carlos looked confused as he left the area. "Kill zone? Wha..." he mutter to himself
Coach Jenkins: "Pick it up. Put it on! Two hands"
The game immediately starts and Jay, Harry and Gil were knocking into people and throwing them on the ground, laughing as they fell. Jay laughed as he did quick moves and flips, avoiding everything the shooter was throwing at him. He came charging towards Carlos.
"Jay, It's me! It's Carlos! Wait, stop, Jay. Stop! No, no, no, no. No!"
Jay then ran into Ben and knocked him on the ground. "Ahh! Oh, yeah! Come on, let's go! Oh! Whoo! Whoo, whoo! Oh! Oh!" Jay, Harry and Gil cheered as the other player got off the ground. "What just happened? Who is this guy?" some of the teammates were muttering.
"You three! Get over here!" the coach called as the boys walked over to him, What do you call that? I call that raw talent. Come find me later. I'll show you something you haven't seen before. It's called a rule book. Welcome to the team, boys." He turned to Carlos. "Have you ever joined a band?" he asked. Jay and Harry laughed.
"He is actually very fast." Gil defended. Coach Jenkins didn't look convinced.
Ben came up next to the two boys. "Gil and I will work with him, coach." Ben assured him. The coach relented and had them run the practice again.
The scene changed, and Mal, Evie, Gil and EJ were standing at the lockers. Audrey, Chad, and Ben walked in the halls laughing about something. Audrey and Chad stopped when they spotted the Vks. "Those kids are trouble." Chad whispered. Ben turned to look at Vks
"Bye, Mal." Evie said as her, EJ and Gil left. Mal waved at them, seeing them off.
Ben turned back to his friend and girlfriend. "Come on, Chad. Give them a chance." Ben told his friend.
Audrey grabbed her boyfriend's hands. "Oh. No offense, Bennybear, but you're just too trusting. Look, I know your mom fell in love with a big nasty beast who turned out to be a prince. But with my mom, the evil fairy was just the evil fairy. That girl's mother." Audrey told him as Chad left.
Ben looked at Audrey a little upset that she didn't respect his decision. "Audrey, I know you feel threatened by their arrival. But you have also been my best friend since we were young, please promise me you'll try to get along with them." Ben pleaded to the brunette. Audrey looked sorry and nodded.
Ben walked up to Mal. Mal greeted the future king. "How was your first day?" He asked, trying to be friendly. Mal sarcastically answered, "Super."
Ben looked at her locker admiring her artwork. "You should really think about taking this talent off the locker and into art class. I could, uh, sign you up. What do you think?" he offered. Mal noticed Jane nervously walking by. She looked back at Ben declining his offer and left.
Audrey saw the interaction and smiled at how cute it was. "You are a sweet but clueless boy." she muttered to herself walking to class.
Mal entered the bathroom Jane walked into. "Hi! It's Jane, right? Ah, I always loved that name. Jane." Mal said, trying to ease the tension. "That's cool." Jane tried to leave but Mal stopped her. "Don't go! I guess I was just kind of hoping to make a friend. You probably have all the friends you need though, huh?"
"Hardly." Jane admitted. Mal acted surprised and sympathetic. "Really? I mean, with your mom being a fairy godmother and headmistress? I mean, not to mention your own, um... personality." Mal said, trying to be nice.
"I'd rather be pretty. You've got great hair," Jane explained.Mal smirked as she brought out her spell book. "You know what? I have just the thing for that. That's right... Ah, here. "Beware, forswear, replace the old with brand new hair." She casted. Jane followed Mal's finger as her hair grew longer.
Mal smiled and said, "Wow! You almost don't notice your... Other features." Jane started tapping the spell book. "Do my nose!"
Mal: "Oh, I can't. I've been practicing, but you know, I can't do really big magic. Not like your mom with her wand. I mean, one swoosh from that thing and you could probably have whatever features you wanted."
"She doesn't use the wand anymore. She believes the real magic is in the books. And not the spell books, regular books with history and stuff." Jane explained.
Mal: "What a rip"
Jane: "Yeah"
Mal started to manipulate the sweet girl. "You know, she used magic on Cinderella, who wasn't even her real daughter. Doesn't she love you?" Jane was quick to defend her mom. "Well, of course she does. It's... It's just, you know, tough love. "Work on the inside, not the outside." You know, that sort of thing." Jane looked a little upset.
Mal: "That's the face! Yeah, and then just look as If your... your heart is about to break. "Oh, mother, I just don't understand why you can't make me beautiful, too."
Jane: "Think it would work?"
Mal: "Yeah. I mean, that's what old Cindy did, right? And your mother Bibbidi-bobbidi-booed the living daylights out of her. And, hey, If your mom does decide to, you know, break out the old wand, invite me"
Jane: "If I can convince mom, you're so there"
Mal: "Yay"
Jane: "Bye"
Mal: "Bye"
