**PETER'S POV, AT HOME**
I climbed through the fire escape, to our bedroom. I took off my hoodie, putting my vest on. I was panting. I should've worn a lighter hoodie to follow them, but I wasn't thinking. Y/N rang the doorbell, and I ran to answer the door. "Hi darling, How are you?" I tried to hide my shaky voice. "I'm good! And, why are you so out of breath? You were doing something?" I froze for a second. I tried to make up an excuse. "I was chasing Rat around the whole house. She got out of her cage." They giggled. "Okay Mr. IChaseSnakes." They snickered and walked in. I eyed their bags, I already knew what they had in there. "Whatcha got there?" They grinned at me.
"Ohhhh nothing... maybe just your BIRTHDAY GIFT DUMMY!"
I pulled them into a tight embrace, wrapping my arms around them. I never wanted to let go. They were just amazing. I lifted my head to face them. "Oh Y/N. You are just perfect. What have I done to deserve you?" They caressed my cheek. "It was the least I could've done." I leaned closer. My lips hovered over theirs. Our noses are practically intertwined. I looked into their eyes while they eyed my mouth. It took a second, but their soft lips brushed against mine into a deep, warm kiss. Our tongues danced together, with our saliva connecting, forming a web through the tip of our tongues. They pulled away, blushing. "I forgot how big your tongue was, hah.." I kissed their forehead. "I love you so much, Y/N."
"I love you too, Peter. Now let me celebrate your birthday." They flashed a smile.
**Y/N'S POV**
I took the cake out of the bag, and put the other bag behind me. "Come with me to the bathroom." He followed. I can't wait to see his reaction. "I wonder what you got for me, love." I hear him behind me. "You're about to find out." We made it to the bathroom and I closed the door. "Take off your vest, please." He smirked. "Isn't it too early for me to unwrap you? I'm not complaining..-" "WHAT. What are you thinking about?!" A slight blush appeared on both mine and Peter's face. "Oh! I must've been thinking of something else..." His expression screamed promiscuous. "Stop teasing. Here." I passed him the hoodie as I put mine on. He put it on.
"Aww I love this! Thank you dear!" He picked me up and spun me around. "Peter! Put me down!" Laughs came out while saying that. He decided to listen to my plea, and put me down. We both looked in the mirror. We were really meant to be. To show his gratitude once again, he grabbed me by the waist and pulled me into a deep kiss. This is just perfect. Everything is perfect.
I truly felt happy.
**PETER'S POV**
We went to the kitchen so we could cut the cake. They took it out the bag and I stared in awe. "This is for me? Thank you so much darling!" I gave them a kiss on the cheek. "You don't know how much I love you." I smiled. "I think I do." They snarled sarcastically. They took off the lid of the cake, and placed a candle. And then, they began to light it up. After that, they took out their phone and started to record. I covered my face in embarrassment, pulling my hoodie up. And I started to think about this. This is all I wanted. This could be my life from now on. Everything seemed so perfect. Everything went according to plan.
And... Nothing bad could happen, right?
"Make a wish!" They smiled.
My wish is for us to be together forever. I blew out my candle.
We cut the cake after the song and they planted a quick kiss on my cheek. We ate and then snuggled up on the couch and watch a movie.
"Hey Peter?" They broke the silence. "Yeah? What's up?" They got up for a second. "I'm sorry I couldn't take you out for dinner or something. I know this wasn't the ideal or best birthday. And it wasn't as good as birthdays should be. I've been so tight on money and this was my first paycheck ever since I left Lucy. I just wanted it to be memorable and I feel like I failed at doing so."
