Y/n paused as she stared forward, her eyes slightly wide.

"Homura..." She mumbled.

"I'm sorry, Y/n." Homura whispered.

"It's fine...I'm okay...!" Y/n carefully got out of his embrace.

"You're already a great older brother. There's no need to think otherwise!" She gave him a close-eyed grin.

"You're only saying that to make me feel better..." Homura frowned.

"Stop being dumb. Yes, you're not the best caretaker. You're also chaotic, careless, and annoying, but you're still better than other brothers and people in general. You realized what you did wrong and apologized. Not many people can do that." Y/n huffed as she crossed her arms.

"So no, it's not about making you feel better. I'm just being honest." She exhaled.

"When did...?" Homura muttered, taken aback by her words.

"Did Kurai teach you to speak like this? I told him to stop! He's going to make you a loser and you'll become that one annoying person who always says annoying facts!" Homura whined.

"Huh?" Y/n blinked.

"Kurai!" Homura exclaimed. "Get your ass down here!"

"What do you want now?!" Kurai was heard from upstairs, followed by quiet thumps that indicated he was making his way downstairs.

When Kurai stepped into the living room, he noticed Y/n and was going to greet her but Homura instantly got in his face and began babbling, which he (Kurai) considered stupid.

"..."

Y/n only stayed silent as she watched Homura attempt to wrestle Kurai. But, he failed as Kurai tripped him, causing him to fall face planted on the floor.

"KURAI!"

"WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU TODAY?! AND HERE I THOUGHT YOU COULDN'T GET ANY MORE CONFUSING!"

"SHUT UP, NERD!"

"A NERD IS SOMEONE WHO IS ENTHUSIASTIC ABOUT LEARNING A SPECIFIC SUBJECT, FOR YOUR INFORMATION!"

"THAT'S SOMETHING ONLY A NERD WOULD SAY!"

'They really are losers...I don't know why I had originally thought otherwise...' Y/n internally deadpanned.

"Are you okay? I was worried because you didn't show up to cram school all week." Hinata pursed her lips.

Sitting together on the swings at the park was Hinata, Y/n, Kisaki, and Midori. Y/n decided that she wanted to play with them since everyone else she knew was busy.

Also, she felt a bit guilty about leaving them worried and upon ringing them for a hang out, they all sounded relieved after hearing her voice and were quick to accept her invitation.

"There was an incident and I had to go somewhere every day, leaving no time for school or cram school." Y/n replied.

"Luckily, my parents were able to get the school to understand, so I won't be in any trouble since they've been informed of the situation." She added with a relieved expression.

"You don't have to say what happened if you don't want to, but I'm happy that you're fine." Midori smiled.

"You had us worried but we're glad that nothing happened to you." Hinata nodded.

'Yeah. Nothing happened...' Y/n thought, sweat dropping.

"If you want...I can lend you my notes of what we've been doing in cram school. That way you won't be too confused when you return." Kisaki spoke.
