Steven, gone wrong

Steven POV

Today was a beach city day off from little homeschool, so Lapis and Pardot would be there. It would be the perfect opportunity to do something for once.

I basically dragged Y/n to the warp pad, and across the grass there. She wasn't even fully awake yet and I don't know HOW she didn't start to protest when rocks started scraping up her face. I stood her up and just kissed the scratches goodbye, and she thanked me. 

"Lapis!" I called into the barn (Peridot wouldn't be there, she was doing a side quest for the kindergarten.). "Yeah?" her voice spoke back. She was on the roof, but quickly floated down after she saw me. (A/n: I don't remember if they ever took the barn off the moon, but I'll make it as one of Peridot's old missions.) Lapis smiled, "Hey Y/n!" I huff and Lapis says 'hi' to me too.

Y/n gasped, "Wait! I just had an idea, be right back! DON'T MOVE A MUSCLE!" she ran to the warp and teleported away. We waited a good half n' hour before she came back. When she did, she was holding music stuff. "Borrowed it from your dad." she said, setting it down Infront of us.

She started playing. (Music at the top)

When she was done, we all (Me and Lapis.) applauded. "That was some good music!" I cheer. "That is what Lapis reminds me of." Y/n said sweetly, with a smile evident on her face. Me and Lapis blush, her in embarrassment, me in love? I don't know, hadn't felt the feeling in awhile. Ever since- I turn pink with the thought. 

"Ah! Steven, you pink!" Lapis explains. I eyeroll, "I'm allowed to be pink SOMETIMES It's not like that anymore, you know." Peridot warped in, brushing her hands together. "Now that's done- Steven!" She runs up and hugs me. I return to normal color.

"OooH!" Y/n screeches, "I got one for you!"

She starts playing, using the voice distortion to sing. She was so good at reading people with music- I couldn't help but to feel the tiniest bit jealous, but otherwise - I was proud. Who do you think taught her to do that? ME! I mentally pouted at that. She never taught me to draw.. My smile widens when she finishes.

Stranded in the open
Dried out tears of sorrow

Lacking all emotion

Staring down the barrel waiting for the
Final gates to open

To a new tomorrow
Moving with the motion

Following the light that sets me free

It didn't work for JUST Peridot, but Lapis too. They both smiled.

When the song ended, she said, "By the way- I still ship Lapdot." Their faces exploded in blushes. "Good thing too, now that we're dating." Peridot whispered snuggling into Lapis' arm. Lapis giggles and me and Y/n screech, "AND YOU DIDN'T THINK TO TELL ME??" We looked at each other and laughed.

"For this exact reason." Peridot pointed out. Me and Y/n laugh, and I say, "Thought so. You know you can tell is anything." Y/n nods along speaking in kind words, "But you don't have to if you know we will react like this." I frown childishly. "What?" She asks, seeing my face.

The gems came, and we stayed together and chilled for a while, looking at the stars in the sky. He had spent almost the whole day talking, Y/n sometimes playing tunes.
