Ten years... ten years since the events of the Revolution... ten years since I took in the very reason I live. My two boys, Yuyake and Tenshi. I got to live and watch them grow into being fine young men. Tenshi became such a bright young man with so much love and compassion for those around him, always wore a soft and sweet smile to those he looked at. Honestly to an onlooker, he's like a saint. Yuyake was still fairly temperamental and a bit of a rebel but... he has a good heart with a sense of honor and justice that while extreme, he doesn't go too far and knows to restrain himself. Guess in some people, things don't change and it's for the best. If it ain't broke, no need to fix it, right?

Najenda: Hey boys, how was school?
Tenshi: Fairly nice. Though Yuyake got into a fight... again...
Najenda: Oh come on Yuyake!
Yuyake: Hey that jackass deserved it!
Tenshi: *sighs* At least you exposed the school thief and got everyone's stuff back.
Yuyake: You took part of the mob justice as well dude. Didn't he steel that necklace I forged for you?
Tenshi: ... you got me there.
Najenda: ... *smiles while shaking her head* You boys, what am I gonna do with you?
Yuyake: Love us of course. Hehe
Najenda: Smartass.
Yuyake: *dawns a shit-eating grin* Hehe. I don't plan to change that.
Tenshi: You've hardly changed.
Yuyake: If it ain't broke, don't fix it.
The boys went on their banter. No matter how old they get, they always but heads like brothers always do. Honestly, these two are such a handful. But I love them like my own. Then again, I did sign up for raising 2 literal biblical beings, I have the piles of feathers from their molting to prove it... and the paid bills for all the collateral damages they caused growing up.
Najenda: Alright you two, that's enough. Get cleaned up and dressed, it's almost dinner time.
That seemed to snap them out of their banter and head straight to their rooms to do just that. Those boys always get in check when they hear about my cooking. I suppose it's typical teenage boy behavior. Granted, my cooking is nowhere near as good as Susanoo's... but they love it regardless.
Najenda: ...
I look to a painting that Yuyake made a few years ago. It was of all the old team from night raid, old and new. I never thought I would see that Yuyake was such an artist yet... all the details are there and how he showed it to me that fateful day we discovered his talent still brings a smile to my face. ten years have gone by, yet it feels like yesterday. Against my wishes, Tenshi also wrote a novel on what happened. He told me that what happened shouldn't be forgotten, nor should those that died. I... can tell he really just wanted to keep the memories of those in night raid alive. I could tell that the events on their first months on earth still bore scars on the boys. Though... I don't blame them, they were dragged into a war as children. I... I still feel at fault at this. I brought them through that hell, yet they... they consider me their mother. I promised since the Revolution, they would never be dragged into another war. I made that mistake once, never again.

*Tenshi pov*
It's been a few months now. So far things have been quiet. However, something in me is telling me that... something is coming. And that something was bad. My brother seemed to sense it too as he's been working in his forge more and been making more weapons as of late.
Tenshi: You sense it right?
Yuyake: Uh, no shit I sense it. been sensing in for months now.
Tenshi: *sighs* You really need to work on controlling your language
Yuyake: Not gonna happen. Regardless, I am aware of something coming. Don't know what it is. All I know is that it is BAD. Why else do you think I've been working in the forge? We need to be prepared.
Tenshi: I know... I know. Sometimes... I wish that things were... normal... that we were normal.
Yuyake: *stopped his work... and with a sigh, lowered his hammer to the side* Me too. I also wished we were just normal and didn't have to be... what we are. But we can't change that now. We're what we are and no changin' it. Best not to sulk about it and just move on.
Tenshi: Yeah... I... also miss Night Raid. Our friends... our Family...
Yuyake: Yeah, me too. on the bright side, we do get to meet Tatsumi and Mine every once and a while. Even go to school with their kids. Nice to know that the remaining gang has better lives now.
Tenshi: Most of them...
Yuyake: Right...
The twins reflected back to when they first came to earth. among mortals, they got to experience what it meant to find kinship, family, love. true, they suffered pain and so much grief, but they came out stronger.
Tenshi: Maybe... after whatever comes ends, we can try and explore new unknowns.
Yuyake: *smiles* I'd like that.
The two, despite their differences, still were closer then any sibling could be. Then again, they once shared a body. That closeness never fades. The idea of traveling together to see the world may perhaps be what they need to move forward and find out what more there is out there.
Yuyke: Hey... how about you and I do a song together... like we used to...
Tenshi: *smiles* I'd like that.
Yuyake got his drum set ready while Tenshi got his guitar. and then... they played and sang...
They played together, remembering the days of childhood. the good, the bad, but most of all, the journey they had together. In these small hours... it's one moment with those you love that matter most.
