Gojo-sensei?
Gojo-sensei?!
Sensei!
Faint calls come from the hallway outside the clinic, and the greatest sorcerer of all time cannot seem to stir up from his slumber. Maybe It's the other presence's quietish snores within the room that made him fall asleep so easily. Maybe that same presence's past, but now the current version hunts him. Maybe It is because it provides him regret what he could have done better for him. Maybe things could have been better.
However, there is a sudden and abrupt slam of the door that makes him jump from his seat and blink repeatedly.
-Yuji-kun? What's the matter?- I said beaming widely, trying to stay and look composed. Must not worry the teen.
-Gojo-sensei, I knocked for a while at the door, but there was no response, so I barged in.- He says, closing the door after him, as he begins to approach me at a fast pace. -Three hours ago, we were having a conversation, but you disappeared randomly, which don't get me wrong, but happens very often and-
As the pink-haired teen proceeds with his rant out of worry, the white-haired man goes blank at how long he has been out of it. It doesn't make sense. I haven't been sleeping lately, so why the sudden need now?
-So, Ieri-san told me It was best to leave you alone after I insisted her on telling me where you were. But it'd been quite a while, which is why I kept looking for you.- He says with an apologetic tone as he places a hand nervously on his nape. -She said something happened to Fushiguro. Is everything okay? What is it a cur- He stops abruptly looking at my side.
As Gojo turns his head, a dark shade of blue eyes stares back at him with a stoic expression.
-I-Is that Fushiguro?!- Yuji exclaims in disbelief.
-Yeah, that's him.- I said sharply, facing him and avoiding the little kid's gaze.
-Wait-What? Sensei, answers?- The pink-haired teen demanded, shaking me back and forth while eyeing my left.
Before Gojo opens his mouth to approach the topic correctly and explain himself without that much detail, a weak voice beats him to the talk.
-You do know that I'm still here, right?- A small voice joined in the conversation as I gulped my nervousness, and silence filled the room
Fushiguro started crawling forward on the stretcher and in their direction with a pained demeanor to then sit close to the white-haired man.
-Am I in a hospital? What happened to me? Who are you?- He said with confusion written all over his voice and giving glances at the two of us. -Do you know what time it it?- he continued, now staring at Yuji-kun's watch.
-Whoa, easy there, buddy.- I told him, trying to calm him down. -One question at a time-.
-Are you going to answer my questions or not?- Little Megumi proceeded to say with a serious tone and little arms crossed over his chest.
-There, I'm going- I fidgeted nervously with my hands, debating what to answer first as Megumi waited expectantly. -Let's say that you're in a clinic. The thing is... you got sick. Are you still feeling bad? When you approached us, you seemed still in pain.- I said at the very end, as a distraction and clear worry.
-I feel this pain all over my muscles,- He responded, looking down at his arms and hands. -but it's partially going away. I'm going to be fine, right?- He said, gazing up once again.
Like they've been shrunk... Gojo thought suddenly.
As Gojo nodded, he felt the kid's eyes all over him. Like he was being scanned for his every move.
-Shouko, who is the doctor here, has taken care of you. She's gonna come later and check on you.- I smiled as reassurance, and he faintly smiled back.
-So, Fushiguro... kun- the pink-haired teen finally speaks as little Megumi listens attentively -you don't remember us?-
-I don't remember seeing either of you two before- He expresses, as he tilts his head to the side, confused -how do you know me?-
-Well, you see, I-
-It's a long story.- I rapidly cut Itadori off as he stares at me, clearly confused. -Yuji-kun! Do you think you could look for Shouko?-
-Sure! I'll come back in no time- He looked worried for a sec, but then quickly dismissed it and headed out of the room.
-Mister, I need to know something else. Do you know where my sister is, Tsumiki?- I paled at that. What am I supposed to tell him(?) Well, Megumi-kun, your sister is in a coma. How do you lie about that(?) -We were going to gather today with this guy. He wanted to talk to her and agree on something.-
Satoru wondered who he could be talking about? Back then, there was no communication between the Fushiguro's children and the Zenin family, nor they were that familiar with the Fushiguros except Tsumiki's mom.
-Gumi'- Megumi widened his eyes at that... Does he know me? I don't have any memory of this man.
-I meant Megumi-kun... My bad- I saved that, didn't I? As expected of me.- "This guy?" You don't know his name?
-Err..-
Should I ask about the nickname... Why does it sound so familiar...
-Not really.- he shook his head. -I met him recently-
What kind of creepy guy's words have this kid fallen for...
-But... - I peered up at that -I remember what he looks like. Tower-san has glasses-
-Tower-san?- I inquired about this nickname.
-He's quite tall. I decided to call him Tower-san because he didn't introduce himself. I will ask him today.-he shrugged.
Seems like he is quite persistent about meeting him.
-His hair is white too.... just like yours- he followed up, pointing with his finger at me to then quickly play with his hands.
And that's when it hit me.
I was the creepy guy.
