You walked down Yokohama while gazing at everything around you. Today was a nice day, and you wanted to take a walk.

You continued walking until you noticed something walking on the sidewalk beside you. You stopped and blinked twice.

A raccoon?

The raccoon squeaked at you and crawled up your leg. You yelped a little in surprise. You held him as he looked into your eyes. He squeaked again.

"H-hi.." You managed to say.

The raccoon squeaked at you and climbed to the top of your head. You gently pet him and he nuzzled to your touch.

You thought as you took him off your head.

But you also weren't sure if it was wise to take a racoon you found on the streets..

You noticed he doesn't smell that bad.. He smells as if he had been bathed.. Does he have an owner?

The raccoon squeaked again.

"....Our new mission is to find your owner!" You exclaimed and began walking.

"If I was a raccoon... Where would my owner be?" You mumbled as you carried him in your hands.

The raccoon looked around and then squeaked happily. You looked in the direction he was looking.

A man was walking on the other side of the sidewalk.

"There he is!" You exclaimed as you were about to call out to him.

A car passed by and he was gone.

You groaned.

You gotta be kidding...

The racoon seated in front of you squeaked disappointedly.

"I know... I'm sorry." You sighed.

You both were in a cafe where animals were allowed. He was on the table eating some animal-friendly ice cream.

"Don't worry, I'll get you reunited with your owner. You'll be back with him in no time. " You smiled at him.

The racoon looked out the window and squeaked sadly.

Poor thing...

You and the raccoon walked down the sidewalk until he squeaked. He ran ahead.

"H-hey! Where are you going?!" You chased after him.

He stopped in front of a book store.

You picked him up and walked inside.

The bookstore was nice.. One of the expensive ones.

You looked around in admiration. You had never seen such beautiful shelves and nice, polished books.

The racoon jumped from your arms and began walking around, you obiedently followed him. He was sniffing the ground.

Is he a raccoon or a dog..?

He walked around the book store with you until he looked ahead and squeaked. He began running around the library.

"Hey! Little buddy! Wait up!" You ran after him.

You heard a shh, and then you quickly said sorry and followed the raccoon.

He looked at the cash register and squeaked.

The same man from earlier was buying a book.

You were about to run to him with the raccoon until a cart filled with books got in both of your ways.

The man was gone.

You groaned.

"I know.. If that dumb cart wasn't in the way, we would've had you two reunited."

The raccoon squeaked sadly and you picked him up to comfort him.

He nuzzled against your neck and squeaked sadly again.

You continued walking down Yokohama, "We'll find him, don't worry."

You and the raccoon walked around the shopping center to look for his owner. There was no luck. He wasn't anywhere.

"Dang it... Where is he?" You sighed.

The raccoon squeaked disappointedly. You felt bad, so you kneeled beside him, "I think I know something that'll cheer you up."

The raccoon looked at you.

"Have you ever tried moving your tail in a circle? Like a helicopter?"

The raccoon tilted his head as if he was confused. He then moved his tail in a circle, he then started doing it quickly while squeaking happily. You smiled.

~Time Skip~
You and the raccoon were still searching until he squeaked and ran down an alleyway.

"Huh?! Hey, wait up!" You ran after him.

He kept running while squeaking. Suddenly, he stopped.

There were 4 stray dogs in front of you both. They growled.

You slowly picked the raccoon up and backed away slowly.

The raccoon squeaked in fear.

The dogs ran at you both.

"RUN FOR IT!" You shouted and ran out of the alleyway. You fell to the ground and the raccoon fell out of your hands.

He stared at you with fear in his eyes.

"Go!" You told him.

He then put on a brave face. He walked towards the dogs and your eyes widened. You quickly got up to see him growl at the dogs and try to bark.

The dogs stared a him for a moment, then lunged at him.

You quickly grabbed the raccoon and ran out of the alleyway.

"You scared me! Please don't ever do that again!" You sighed as you and the raccoon were sitting on a bench.

The raccoon looked down sadly.

"..I-i-i'm sorry. That was a very brave thing to do." You looked ahead, "Good job."

The raccoon looked at you.

"Alright, let's do one last search." You smiled at him.

The raccoon squeaked happily.

The raccoon looked around as you held him in your hands. He then squeaked as if it was urgent.

"Huh? What?" You looked at him.

You suddenly heard a voice, "Karl! Karl!"

The raccoon squeaked and you turned to see the same man you both had been chasing running in your direction.

"There you are, Karl!"

"Karl..?" You mumbled.

The raccoon named Karl squeaked and you set him down. He ran to his owner. As you followed behind him.

Karl leaped into the man's arms and the man sighed in relief, "Karl, I've been looking for you everywhere!"

Karl looked at you and squeaked.

"Thank you so much! I'm Edgar Allen Poe!" The man named Poe offered to shake your hand.

"Y/n L/n." You smiled and shook his hand.

"Thank you so much for watching Karl for me! I was worried sick!"

"It wasn't a problem."

"Take care, and thank you!" Poe walked away.

Karl looked over Poe's shoulder and squeaked happily at you.

You smiled whenever you saw him spin his tail in circles.
