Till Death Do Us Part - Dust Sans x Reader

You felt an ice cold chill run down your spine, your stomach dropping as you could feel the danger practically oozing off of the guy. His eyes burnt a hole through the back of your head as if he were daring you to try something stupid. But the horrific moment lasted as quick as it started, and soon he moved over to Blue, slouched as he takes another puff from his cigarette, causing the smoke to leak from every part of his skull.
"Oh, they're just someone I bumped into! Don't worry too much brother!" Blue yelled slightly, grinning from ear to ear.
It seemed like Blue always yelled, even if he wasn't angry. Perhaps it helped him feel powerful? Or maybe it allowed him to seem a little bigger than he really was? Either way, it was adorable. You noticed the Papyrus watching you warily, causing you to awkwardly wave at him.
"Umm.. actually, I do have a question.." you mutter quietly, gaining the attention and interest of both skeletons. "Do you know where Chara is?"
They freeze, giving each other worried glances before they finally addressed you.
"Uhh, how do you know who that is?" The Papyris grumbled, now definitely aware of the fact that you're someone who knows more than they should.
You panic, realising that you weren't supposed to give away what you were doing here. Yet, it's a bit too late for that now, so swallowing your fears and ignoring the voice in your head that was telling you this was a bad idea, you decided to tell them why you were here and how. You could see their confusion and concern, and you were starting to get worried that they would completely turn you away when the Papyrus decides to speak up.
"Alright, I suppose there isn't much of a point hiding it anymore, is there? Basically, we've lived up on the surface for years without a reset, but there's been something dark and evil lingering around the kid, Chara. And we're a bit worried." He finally spoke.
You were a little confused by this, not really understanding what has caused Chara to start acting up suddenly. But, you pushed those questions away as you look over at the two brothers, holding out your hand to shake.
"I never fully introduced myself, so, my name is Y/N." You say calmly, watching as Papyrus shakes your hand gently.
"Nice to meet ya, kid." He chuckled, blowing out a puff of smoke. "The name's Papyrus, but everyone kinda just calls me Honey."
"Why do they call you Honey-"
"Because of this."
You watched in pure horror as he pulls out a fresh bottle of honey in the shape of a teddy bear and starts drowning it as if it were a glass of water. You do your absolute best to suppress the urge to gag as Blue starts fussing him, telling him how unhealthy it is and how he'll spoil his appetite.
"Anyway," you recompose yourself, giving Honey a dirty glare while he giggles slightly, "Thanks for helping me. I'm sure we can fix this issue soon, so try not to worry, alright?"
The two nod and say their goodbyes, leaving you to hurriedly rush back through the crowd and out into the city again, spotting Dust not so subtly trying to blend in with the crowd. With a roll of your eyes and a chuckle, you hurry over to him, causing him to smile slightly upon noticing you.
"Had fun?" You ask as you both start walking around, admiring all the shops and fast-food restaurants.
Dust nodded, relaxing a little now that you were walking next to him. Seems like he was quite tense not having someone familiar with him by his side. And you could tell he was trying not to show it, but was failing miserably, causing you to die from cuteness.
"So, I figured out what's going on with Chara."
"Oh? How?"
"Well..... don't get mad, but I kinda had to reveal what we were doing to the Sans and Papyrus of this timeline." You mutter with a sheepish grin, awkwardly tapping your index fingers together as he shoots you a dirty glare.
"I swear, can you not follow simple instructions? Or is that too hard for a measly pet to understand?~" he teases cruely, poking your cheek as you huff.
"Whatever, we should head back. Nightmare didn't want us to fix the situation, just to find out what's going on."
"Wait, hold on. Is that.... the beach?"
You pause, looking off into the distance to see the start of the beach. It wasn't big by any means, but it was still a beach, with a pier and everything. You turn to Dust, watching him bounce around in excitement like a child, and you couldn't help but giggle at the adorable sight.
'He sure is cute when he's excited.~'
You weren't even trying to deny it anymore, because you knew it was true. Dust, when he wasn't being a cold, murderous asshole, was extremely cute and soft like a little teddy bear.
"Sure, we can go there for a bit before we head back to the castle."
His pinpricks widen as he smiles brightly, thanking you over and over as the both of you started to walk over to it. As you walked, he mentioned how in his universe, the surface wasn't close to any sort of beaches, and they were never up there long enough to be able to drive and go to one, so this was the first time he had ever actually seen a beach in person. You assured him that he would have lots of fun, especially on the pier.
