SONICJOHNZ's CARTOON ELEMENTARY
Episode 43: Showers Bring May Flowers
Bugs: (Narration) The Battle on the Playground was one of the scariest moments in our School's History. However, the Calendar Soon Flipped over to the Month of May, Which meant there were about 20 more days until School was out and we got to experience our summer Vacation, but it was only 19 days until the Big School's Out event that I've been talking about happened. But before I can tell you That Story, I'll have to tell you this Story.
(Continued) As the rhyme goes: "April Showers bring May Flowers", the school thought it a great idea to hold a science project about Plants and Photosynthesis. And you can probably guess that "The Friz" was on this from when it was announced. If that is the case, my friends, You're right!
(Continued) Anyways, I heard of Phoebe's Plant experience, and I assure you that won't happen this time, as Ms. Frizzle doesn't want to do that a second time after the Time Travel Mishap. So, we had this instead.
Mrs. Johnson: So Each of you has Seeds to Plant in our Garden. Our Gardens are Sectioned off by Grade Level, of course. You must pick your seeds for the Project, and In time, they will grow into plants by the Fall. We did this on the day After the Big attack, thank goodness.
Bugs: Yeah... thank goodness is right.
Lola: Understatement of the Year?
Bugs: Not Exactly, Lola.
Bluey: (waters her Seeds) Speaking of Flowers, I think we should think of Designs for a cake for Mothers Day, as the Bakery is opening for a Cake for the Mothers of all Students.
Bugs: What do you mean by that?
Bluey: What I mean is we need to start thinking of it Soon, because the Mother's Day celebration at the School is next week.
Bugs: Oh okay.
Sonic: Oh, and that week is also Teacher Appreciation Week. So I need to Surprise my Mom in two ways. I'm just not sure how.
Amy: I know! You can make Something extra Special for her.
Bluey: That way, You can Say "Happy Mothers Day", and "Thanks for being a teacher" at the Same time.
Sonic: I'll give it the old College Try. Just like when I subbed in at the Football Game.
Bugs: Yep. You never seem to forget those events.
Bingo: I hope I'll remember my Kindy Graduation.
Bugs: Believe me, Bingo. You will. As well as all your friends.
Jerry comes out Of Bugs' Pocket and plants his Seeds with Bluey's Help.
Bluey: There you go, Jerry. All set to grow and we won't see them until we head out here again or when Fall comes Around.
He nods in Understanding. He then mouths something.
Bluey: Oh. You have A Cousin too? That's Great. I have Two Cousins. One is Three and is in the Pre-K Class. She'll be in Kindergarten next Year. That's Muffin. That's her!
Muffin: Hey Bluey. Who've you got in your hand?
Bluey: This is Jerry Mouse. Don't be afraid. He's very friendly once you get to know him.
Muffin: Okay.
She hands him to her, and he smiles.
Muffin: Hi Jerry. I don't understand why those mean kids pick on you.
Jerry makes the best motions that he can, that it was because of his Size.
Bluey: He says it's because he's really small.
Muffin: Oh. That's bad... I'm sorry that you get Teased a lot Mr. Jerry. But I can be your friend, Just like Bluey.
Jerry smiles and holds one of her Paw fingers.
Muffin: Good. I'm glad we can be friends.
Bluey: You see, even the Smallest kids have the Biggest Adventures.
Muffin: Yep.
Later when they went home...
Muffin: Dad, Bluey introduced me to another Friend, Jerry Mouse.
Stripe: The Mouse now? Well, that's a step forward. I'm glad you want to help him. You sure are compassionate, Muffie.
Muffin: What's that mean?
Stripe: What word?
Muffin: Com-passionate?
Stripe: Compassionate. It's the Adjective form of the word Compassion. Compassion is when you see someone who needs help, and you want to help them. It goes together with Mercy.
Muffin: Oh okay. I could also use some Ideas.
Stripe: Ideas for what?
Muffin: Mothers Day. Bluey's in on Making a Cake with her friends for Aunt Chili and all the Mums.
Stripe: I see. You could Also work with your Classmates and Friends to make Cards.
Muffin: Thanks, Dad. You're the best.
Stripe: I am?
Muffin: Yes.
Stripe: Aww, Thanks Muffie.
Bugs: (Narration) Throughout the Month of May, we watered our Garden plants every time we had a chance to do it, and we brainstormed ideas for the Mother's Day Cake, and ideas for Sonic's surprise gift for Bernadette. When Muffin told us of Her idea, which was Stripe's Idea, really... I was totally on Board with it! All we had to do now, was get them Ready, which we did. But I mustn't tell you more... or I would spoil our next story!
