NEW YORK
The second Jack had texted her, announcing his arrival outside her apartment; Hunter had been a ball of anxiety. Her nerves were already at an all time high, hyper focused on her classes. She needed something like this, a day where she got out. But, it was her first time meeting Jack. She hadn't felt like herself and she didn't want him to think lowly of her.
Hunter tried to look decent, deciding to brush through her hair and put on actual pants. She'd thrown on a t-shirt, not caring to make herself hot. It was Jack, one of Trevors best friends and dhe didn't need to impress him in that way.
She got her stuff around, taking what she needed before leaving the building. She took the elevator down to the parking garage, texting Jack on her way down. Trevor had been MIA all day, but she didn't mind, he was busy and she knew that.
"Texting some hot guy?" She heard as the elevator doors opened. She hadn't been texting anyone, only admiring the picture on her lockscreen. It was of Trevor, one she'd taken at the rink when she was in California.
"Oh, yeah, so many guys." Hunter laughed, stuffing her phone into her pocket. She stepped out of the elevator and in seconds her arms were around the boy.
Jack pulled away after squeezing her in his arms, "you ready for the best day ever?"
