The phoenix and the kitsune

With the war avoided an Ace safe from being executed all seemed to be going well or seemed to be. There was a minor issue that both Thatch and Serenity have yet to actually face, and that issue being introducing him to the crew again. The both of them were currently in the kitchen brainstorming ways to introduce him back to the crew.

" why don't I jump from the crows nest and yell surprise" Thatch suggested as he leaned against the counter with his arms crossed. Serenity slightly giggled at his idea.

"You know damn well that is not going to work, the worse it can do is scare the living shit out of every body" she pointed out from her seat at the table. Through these two weren't quite alone Ace was also in the kitchen with them eating.

"How bout you just walk on to the deck with Fox girl here and tell everyone that you have been revived." Ace suggested as he looked at his brother. Ace was fully aware of the side mission that his friend had for his previously deceased brother. Through the only reason he knew is he over heard her discussion with Marie on the sub trying to see if their hypothesis of giving a spirt that had not fully moved on a devil fruit would revie them. It worked to an extent. Thatch can change from a physical form and his ghost form at will. It creeped Ace out when he walked in to the kitchen and saw his brother practicing with his best friend coaching him with his new abilities.

"That might just work, but there is still the issue of sneaking him out of this kitchen without him being spotted and scaring the shit out of someone" Serenity said as she stood up from her chair to lift Ace's face out of his food moving the plate to the side and laying his head down gently.

"You got a point, I think the best way to get past everyone is to wait for when the party starts tonight. Considering everyone will be attending to celebrate the avoidance of the war" he said as he uncrossed his arms. She sighed.

"I agree that would be wise." She muttered as you went towards the door looking among the crew with a small smile appearing on her face.

"Soooo, when you going to tell the chicken that you like him" Asked Thatch as he stepped to the other side of her remain hidden in the doors shadow. She blushed a dark red that could rival the hair of Shanks.

"Why would I do that, I don't even think he shares the same feelings towards me as I do him. I've told you how my family is we have one male or female that we are destined to be with for eternity. Hell would he even want to be with me for that long." She murmurs in sadness as she continues to look at the crew that filled the gallery. He could only sigh and pat her shoulder as a way to reassure her. He was aware that his brother may not show his emotions much but he was completely smitten with Serenity. Through he just has to find away for them to actually admit it. He sighs as he walks back towards his other brother who had just woke up and started stuffing his face once again.

"Besides we have a feast to finish cooking" Serenity said with a bright smile spreading across her face as she rolled up the sleeves of her blue kimono walking towards the stove not before picking up a spatula.

"And Ace if you don't stop eating all of the food that we have already prepared I'm going to beat your ass!" She growled as she chased the dark-haired boy out of the kitchen on to the deck throwing the spatula that somehow managed to hit him right in the back of the head causing him to trip over his feet and falling faced first on the deck. The crew busted out laughing at the sight of a pissed off Serenity and a pouting Ace. But the sight seemed to become a normal occurrence on the ship, but it brought everyone joy at the two friends. Even pops laughed at the two as the boy stood back up to hit the girl who swiped her tails under his feet causing him to bust his ass.

"Gurarararar!, she sure is a lively one isn't she my boy" Pop's said as he looked down at Marco who was discussing the recent increase of activity of the new generation of Pirates in the new world.
