Kalea Ruth Kingston
New York City, New York

Since she had no lectures to shadow nor was she able to open up her office to students until next week Monday, Kalea was free to do whatever she wanted. As she'd already gotten quite early, she decided not to waste the day and have a tour around the University to get a feel of everything.

The rain still poured quite heavily, even the scent of the rain filled the entrances of the buildings, which often reminded Kalea of home. No matter how traumatic her childhood was, it was all she knew. Sighing, she continued to look around, through the biology area, the physics area until she'd walked around so much that she found herself one the art department. Fiddling with her lanyard, which showed that she was an employee, Kalea felt overwhelmed as she looked at the art pieces on the walls.

Eventually, after following the paintings, she found herself in the sculpture department. Each sculpture had a signature to state who had done it, however, a particular one caught her eye. It wasn't because of its colour nor was it particularly unique. She just felt like it was a foreign feeling, she didn't understand what was going on.

Kalea froze as she stared at it, analysing every detail about it. There were multiple hands caressing or holding the woman's body, each hand belonging to different people due to their different sizes and details. The woman had a veil covering her face and a thin fabric coating her body, it seemed sheer because every detail of her body was on display. Each dent that the hand had made was visible and every shadow too. Her eyes were focused straight ahead, unfazed by the hands all over her, unfazed by everything happening around her.

The sculpture was incomplete and was made by a 'Sky Davis'.

The name of the piece was also left blank. Sighing, Kalea walked around the sculpture unaware of the amount of time that had passed.

Sculptures were so interesting, they took so much time and required so much delicacy. Almost like children, Kalea didn't think she had the patience for such a thing yet people often told her that she would be a great mother.

Sighing, she stepped out of the room before deciding to go grab lunch at a restaurant nearby in order to get a feel of her new home.

As she hurried carelessly through the rain, a car rushed by and splashed a puddle all over, drenching her in dirty, New York water. After spotting a cafe through her teary eyes, Kalea barely managed to cross the road and walked towards it. She pushed the door and stormed to the toilets, simply walking in and checking herself in the mirror. Her perfectly white shirt was now a muddy black and her hair had rocks and all sorts of disgusting things in it, she groaned quietly as she tried to sort her hair out.
