Firsthand gonna apologize. There aren't many details in this chapter. I know it should be a bit better considering it's the end of act one, but I've just been feeling like absolute shit so this is the best you're gonna get.. sorry. I have LOADS of motivation for act 2 so don't worry :))!
We had no time. We were rushing. If we didn't get to the Department of Mysteries, Sirius would be dead. I promised him if he ever died, I would be the one to kill him. When Harry and Hermione came back, me, Neville, Ginny, Ron, and Luna were already running on the bridge towards them.
"How'd you get out?" Harry asked.
"Puking pastries, it wasn't pretty," Ginny explained mischievously.
"So how are we getting to London then?" Neville asked. Me and Harry glanced at each other. I knew what he was about to say, and I wasn't going to disagree with him.
"Look, it's not that I don't appreciate everything you've done.... all of you-"
"But me and Harry have already gotten you guys into enough trouble as it is." Harry begins walking past the group and I promptly follow him, until Neville speaks up.
"Dumbledore's Army was about doing something real." Harry and I stopped and turned around. "Or was that just words to you two?"
"Maybe you guys don't have to do this all by yourself," Ron said.
"I thought you hated me Ron?" I asked in a bittersweet tone.
"Shut up, as if Snow." Ron chuckled a bit.
Me and Harry glanced at each other, trying to make a mutual decision. Harry turned to the group and asked, "so how are we getting to London then?"
Luna's high voice perked up. "We fly of course."
We all quickly rush into the Forbidden Forest to find the Thestrals. Some of them couldn't see them, but we managed to get them to piggyback with us. The wind blew my hair out of the way, I could barely see anything. "TIE YOUR HAIR FOR GOD SAKE SNOW!" Hermione yelled. I rolled my eyes at her motherness and quickly tied my hair in a quick bun.
"Is this good enough for you mother dearest?"
"Shut up."
Hours. The ride took hours. None of us were saying anything the entire time after that. We flew through clouds that were beginning to thunder as day turned into night. By the time we made it into the ministry, it was already late. The sky was pitch black. As soon as we made it into the Department of Mysteries, we were all eerily silent. Me and Harry were at the front of the group, everyone else was behind us. We are all walking straight down this hall. At the end, there's a door. Harry hesitantly puts his hand on the doorknob. He looks back at everyone, giving a final glance before opening it. We all step inside and see crystal like balls everywhere on shelves. It was extremely dark. The only reason we could see was because everyone had the light spell on their wands.
"Snow, come on. You guys keep watch!" Me and Harry start running down, counting the rows until we reach row 95. In our dreams, that's where he was. That's where Sirius was being held. After we finally reached row 95, we looked down and were stricken when we saw he wasn't there. "He isn't here!" Harry panicked.
"Guys." Neville interrupted. "It's got your names on it. Snow and Harry Potter." Me and Harry glanced at each other and rushed to Neville's side. Harry looked back and forth between the group and the prophecy.
"Go on Harry," I urged. "Pick it up." He sighed and gently picked it up, as if he was scared to break it. The fog in it was now white.
"Hold it, for one sec," he said. I quickly picked it up and was surprised when the fog suddenly turned black.
