'Heavy....'
Gently, I unfurled my eyes, roused from slumber by the gentle weight on my arm. After a prolonged rest, my weary mind felt invigorated, the world around me bathed in newfound clarity.
As my vision adapted to the soft luminescence of the room, a harmonious serenity enveloped me, accompanied by the faint lull of soft snores dancing through the air. I turned my gaze, drawn by the ebony cascade of Silas's hair, a stark contrast to the pale moonlight filtering through the window.
In that tranquil tableau, I observed Silas, the contours of his face softened in repose, his head cradled upon my arm. His hand, in an almost possessive grip, clung tenderly to my own, forging an unspoken connection in the quiet realm of dreams.
As if that way, he could safely hold onto his treasure without it being stolen away.
His flawless face looked haggard and tired.
Despite his typically formidable countenance, his face bore the marks of fatigue and weariness, softening the edges of his intimidating facade.
In this vulnerable moment, he transcended his usual aura of intensity and took on an endearing quality that tugged at the corners of my heart.
I smiled.
But the smile was soon wiped out. Memories of what happened earlier rushed back to me and hit me like a wagon. My mood plummeted. No one was harmed or injured but some of villagers belongings and money got stolen away.

Earlier...
When the imposing, burly man tore my garment and raised his hand menacingly, I was seized by a paralyzing fear. In that dreadful moment, the faces of those I cherished and held dear flickered before my eyes.
A cacophony of thoughts surged through my mind, akin to a stampede of wild bulls racing in all directions.
"Will Grandma Sen be okay? Will she remember to take her medicines? She always forgets. Will Maren accept Lennon? Will Maren and Seira be okay?"
Amidst that tumultuous storm of thoughts, as I teetered on the precipice of despair during what felt like my final moments, an unexpected presence found its way into my consciousness.
'Silas...Silas... What about him? Will he start making new friends besides me? Will he smile again? Will he find someone he likes?...I would be happy if he did...'
Finally, with a deep breath and a faint, serene smile, I came to terms with the grim inevitability of my fate. I closed my eyes, surrendering to the impending darkness, and allowed myself to relax.
'But somehow, I feel a bit sad when I think about it...'
In that fleeting moment, as I braced myself for the impending violence, time seemed to slow to a crawl. Each passing second was laden with unbearable tension.
