A/N: "Better When I'm Dancin" Meghan Trainor

Wylie's POV:

I'm gathering everything I need to ask Linh to the dance, and I can already picture it—the dazzling smile lighting up her face as I take her hand, holding her close as we sway together under the glow of the spotlight. Her silver-blue eyes, mesmerizing and full of warmth, meeting mine. The way her long, flowing black hair catches the light and frames her face like moonlight through silk. A smile tugs at my lips just thinking about her. She's beautiful—like something out of a dream I never want to wake from.

I shift my focus back to the poster, adding the final touches. It looks perfect. I cut out stars and glittery vines, arranging them around the edges to look like we're dancing in an enchanted forest. I even included pictures of princesses dancing with their princes—just like how I imagine us. Because Linh is my princess. And if I have anything to say about it, Homecoming will be our fairytale come to life.

But even as I stand back and admire it, this nervous flutter won't leave my chest. I mean, why would she say no? We've been spending more time together lately—training, studying, even laughing about the ridiculous pranks Dex and Keefe pull. She's kind. Gentle. And so, so smart. But I can't help second-guessing myself. What if she doesn't feel the same? What if this ruins everything?

I shake my head. No. I won't let fear stop me. Linh deserves someone who sees her for everything she is. When you first meet her, she seems sweet and innocent, but beneath that... There's a fire. A quiet strength that doesn't scream for attention but commands it. She's not afraid to speak her mind when it matters, not afraid to stand tall even when the world pushes back. It's that kind of quiet courage that makes her shine brighter than any spotlight ever could.

I take a breath, my fingers curling around the posterboard. I can't wait to hold her in my arms, to dance with her, to lose ourselves in the moment, smiling and laughing together. Linh, you are truly one of a kind—a girl who holds my heart. And tomorrow, I'll tell you that.

Dex's POV:

As I lay out the materials for my Homecoming poster, I feel a flicker of doubt. How on earth do I make this perfect enough for a queen? She's a queen in my eyes, but even then—how do I capture just how incredible she is?

Everything about her—the way her sparkling teal eyes light up, how her long, luscious brown hair frames her face, the enchanting smile that never fails to make my heart melt—she's breathtaking.

Oh, Biana. So beautiful. And not just on the outside. She's fierce, confident, and always unapologetically herself. I've seen her stand up to people twice her size without flinching. I've seen her comfort Sophie with a single look. She's got this aura, this energy that just draws people in. And yeah, okay—she totally intimidates me sometimes. But she also inspires me.

I finally start piecing the poster together, hoping it turns out just right. I picked out pink glitter paper, a nod to her famous words: "Sparkles make everything better."
