Deception in Between us - Draco x Yn

The next morning, I ensured I looked irresistible. I did a natural makeup look, and pulled my hair into a half-up half-down due. I pulled on white sneakers, with high-wasted blue jeans, and a tight-fitting snow white tank top under a loose, unbuttoned big cardigan sweater. I matched the outfit with the necklace Draco gave me, some small hoop earrings, and a few silver rings and bracelets from home.

I walked out of the Ravenclaw common room where all the beauxbaton girls were staying and I met up with Blaise and Theo.

"Remind me never to break your heart!" Blaise nudges my shoulder at my well-put-together appearance, "Do you want him to cry?" I heard a voice from behind me. My eyes met a girl Blaise told me about earlier. Apparently, she knows about this whole Draco revenge idea. "That's what I am hoping for." I smiled viscously. I wanted to make him cry. I needed him to want me again.

We walked into the Great Hall and we all quietly discussed today's plan. I would go meet some of the Hufflepuffs as a way to "meet more people." During this, they would be talking about how good I look. Then the group we have formed would go to the courtyard, and I would ignore Draco's existence.

Theo tapped me on the shoulder to indicate a certain ferret was heading my way. As I was passing by, I heard him say "hey" to me, but I brushed pass him, not even granting him a glance. As I was sitting at the Hufflepuff table I looked over at Draco who was in deep conversation. His hair was lazily draped on his forehead in a way I have always found so attractive. His fine black suit fits his figure perfectly, and his smile more mesmerizing than any other time I had ever seen him.

I looked away before I got caught, tuning into what the Hufflepuffs are saying. I felt eyes on me so I looked back at Draco and he was still talking to the group. I looked around the room until I met the angry eyes of a brunette with glasses. I nudged Cedric's side to get his attention, "Who is he?" I wondered out loud.

"Harry Potter. What did you do? He looks like you killed his grandma!" Cedric laughs.

"Like the one that survived the noseless dude?" I ignored Cedric's other question wondering to myself, what I could have possibly done. Cedric nodded and I sent Harry a smile before joining the puff's convo again.

Draco Pov

As I was walking up to my friends I noticed Yn get up. "Hey!" I nervously greeted her. I knew I deserved to be ignored, but that doesn't stop the ache the spirals around me.

"Nice. A real ladies man." Theo pats my shoulder as I sit down.

I ignored his teasing to watch Yn sit with the Hufflepuffs. "Why is she with them?" I sounded angry, though it was more hurt and jealousy.

"She wanted to get to know more people before she starts next year." Blaise shrugs as if she isn't cuddled up next to pretty boy Diggory. "yeah, for sure, 'get to know'" I say looking away from my intense staring match with the back of Cedric's head. "Not like she's practically wearing his skin." I mutter quietly.

"Don't be so dramatic. They have a solid few inches of space." Blaise snorted before whispering something to Pansy that made her giggle. Guess their back together.

"I thought you guys weren't together? Why are you so heated?" Nothing about Pansy's tone was rude. The truth is, I didn't want to face the fact that she isn't mine.

She didn't just ignore me in the great hall. She also ignored me in the courtyard and whenever I tried to talk to her in the hall. She wouldn't even send me a glance. With every minute she ignored me, she got closer to Diggory; And the longer time stretched on, the close I was getting to avada kedavra-ing him. 

Desperation pooled inside of me, a burning sensation fueled by love. Yn's attention becoming more needed than oxygen. I needed her to look at me. I don't care if she looked at me in disgust, I just wanted her to see me, to make me feel seen. I needed her to talk to me. I really needed her attention, even if she told me she hated me and insult me the whole time, I wanted her. This was driving me crazy.
