Yuu calmed down for a moment as Ortho served some green tea. Hellish in-game choice still was wrecking her nerves, remaining unanswered.
Lack of fresh air was a huge problem, too, and she took a look at a curtained window in Idia's room, thinking how is it even possible to exist as a human form in this 4-walled box called typical Ignihyde room with dim cold lights with a window which happens to be never opened.
She guessed Ortho understood her thinking, floating near her and scanning with both his robotic eyes, or at least she thought so, since the humanoid was made so fine that even his pupils were moving like human ones would be.
"Is something the matter, Yuu? There is a slowdown in your heartbeat, are you okay?"
"You can say so..." she took a deep breath as if swallowing stuffy air. "Though I have a question to ask, Idia."
He shuddered, thinking she was already absorbed by a conversation with another bubble-like sweet funny bright extrovert, Ortho that would be. He clenched his hands on the small cup of tea, a decent amount of liquid still untouched. Idia actually tried to convince Ortho that soda would be just enough, but both his brother and Yuu insisted it would be healthier to drink a cup of fresh-brewed green tea, which has calming effect, has a good impact on brain activity, prevents diseases and blah-blah-blah, like what the hell, he hasn't subscribed for a whole medical consultation set.
In any case, he thought he was finally over when two extroverts found themselves in a lively conversation, so he took his little time to observe the situation for a second.
Yuu was unfitting here.
To give him credit, he started thinking she was no normie, maybe he wasn't going to acknowledge this out loud, but at least mentally he accepted the fact she was... at least cultured.
She was managing to keep conversations free from embarrassment with everyone and that was ascending Idia to another orbit, making him catapult into stratosphere where she couldn't find him and try to initiate friendly convo of hers, but then he brushed off this silly thought. There was no point anymore due to the fact she already managed to get into his room somehow, and was pretty much successful in staying here for more than just thirty seconds. She was persistent and outgoing.
His nightmare, apparently.
Her presence wasn't so annoying as it was at first, he could say he may try at least tolerate her, but now, not long after her eyes were sparkling so brightly, aiming at pixelated chara she stanned, Idia was so lost. She was so similar to him in her 2D charas obsession, and at the same time so polar in her attitude to life itself.
He noticed how her eyes grew dim, her delicate hands - what was he thinking in the first place?! - clenching her shirt tightly. In these small gestures he recognized she was uncomfortable with the surroundings, but didn't say anything. What if he was just imagining things and any words of his will cause an embarrassing predicament, making him look like a fool?
"Y-yeah?.." he answered quietly, avoiding her gaze.
"I, ugh," she took off her school jacket and Idia just hoped Ortho wouldn't even try to comment on how his heart rate increased greatly. "I have an assumption about the choice we stuck on, but first I would like to go out for a second. Is it okay?"
"W-why would you ask me, do whatever you want..."
She stood up, straightening her skirt and laughing. He stared at his reflection in the cup of tea, completely avoiding looking at her. The situation escalated from a normal one, where they even had fun discussing the game, to an embarrassing conversation between gross otaku and... shit, she needs a new nickname to be called since normie was out of usage already.
