I felt hot breath run down the back of my neck. I froze. All of my senses stood on high alert. Just as I thought I heard a soft chuckle, everything around me stopped. It was as if the world had stopped moving. I glanced down at my hands, turning them over and over. What was I doing here? I shook my head quickly, dismissing the thought. I took in my surroundings. I was lounged in a velvet green chair facing a window that led out towards the Black Lake. I watched as the water casted a soft glow onto the room. The view was utterly captivating and beautiful in its own way. The large grandfather clock struck the top of the hour, admitting a sweet tone. Without a word, I rose to my feet and carried myself to my dormitory. I smiled to myself as I felt the silk sheets stroke my body.
I watched as he leaned against the pillar. His brown eyes stared into mine as if he were looking right into my soul. A smirk crept onto his face. My breath caught in my throat while I stared back at him. Just as I felt my world caving in, he pulled me back to reality. Something about the way he looked at me set my soul on fire.
"Slytherin!" The Sorting Hat cried.
I felt a wave of relief flood me as I realized I would be seeing a lot more of the young wizard watching me closely. Briskly walking to our house table, I searched for him as if my life depended on it. I nearly jumped when I heard his voice next to me. The young wizard smirked at me while extending a hand. "I'm Sebastian Sallow. Welcome to Slytherin."
I felt a small blush creep up onto my cheeks as I took his hand in mine. The way his hands felt in mine sent chills down my spine. I almost couldn't take my eyes off of him. Noticing my blush, Sebastian chuckled softly.
"If that is all it took the impress the most popular student at Hogwarts, I would've introduced myself immediately." He smiled while pulling me closer towards himself. Words seemed to fail me as I looked at his face coming closer to me. Oh Merlin, it felt as if my heart was going to burst out of my chest at any moment. Noticing my staring, he smirked.
My eyes went wide and I turned my head quickly. His hand gripped my face gently as he turned it back around to face him. His large brown eyes peered into my green ones. Sebastian nervously looked between my eyes and my lips. I prayed to Merlin that the gap between us would close. As if he were reading my thoughts, a small smile appeared on his face before closing the gap between our lips. His lips felt soft against mine as he placed his hand on my lower back, pulling me closer.
It felt as if he were made for me.
The sound of an owl hooting at the foot of my bed caused me to groggily open my eyes. A Snow White owl stood at the foot of my bed looking down at me curiously. The creature was gorgeous. As I reached my hand towards her, she flew away quickly. I watched as she flapped her wings out of our dormitory window. Oh, how it must feel to be free like that. I smiled to myself as I pulled myself out of bed. I grabbed my gray skirt and emerald green sweater from my closet as I made my way towards the bathroom. Something feels...different? The feeling was indescribable. It felt as if I were missing something, but at the same time, I almost felt elated. Taking my time in the shower, I allowed the hot water to wash away any negative thoughts I had been having. Thinking back to the dream I had last night, I smiled. He is perfect. Reluctantly, I turned off the water and wrapped my silver towel around my body. I wiped a small area off of the mirror in front of me. Peering at my reflection, I huffed in frustration. My hair hung in matted, loose curls around my face. My skin appeared puffy and irritated. This cannot be happening. I brushed through my hair gently with my fingers; taking a curl and wrapping it around my fingers occasionally. Although it may have helped my hair, I wasn't satisfied. I applied a small amount of mascara and foundation to my face. Patting a dollop of blush on my cheeks, I smiled to myself. Finally, I at least look presentable.
As I was leaving the bathroom, I ran into a slightly taller witch with hair pulled back into a tight ponytail. Imelda. "Good morning Imelda, sleep well?"
My question appeared to catch her off guard, "Y-yes." She gave me a quick glance up and down. "Emilia, you look beautiful. He is absolutely going to swoon over you."
My heart raced at her comment. I wanted nothing more than for him to look at me with passion and desire. The mere thought of his eyes gazing into mine caused a large smile to flood my appearance. Imelda looked relieved at my friendliness towards her. She gave me a big hug before moving towards the shower to continue her morning. Well, that was odd. Raising an eyebrow, I watched as she disappeared beyond the curtain. I played with a few more of my curls as I contemplated my decisions. I glanced towards my outfit in the mirror with a frown. This is ridiculous. After careful consideration, I hiked up my skirt just a little higher, revealing the top portion of my thigh. Nervously, I made my way towards the Slytherin Common Room. The room was primarily empty besides a few witches and wizards hurrying towards the Great Hall.
Without notice, a tall wizard with slicked back hair appeared in front of me. He had icy blue eyes that wouldn't meet my eyes. He placed his hands on my hips and attempted to pull me close. I pushed away instinctively. He looked up at me with a look of concern.
I took at step away from him, "Who are you?"
