Heroes From Another Universe Volume 1: A Hero's Journey in Gotham

In the Batcave. Bruce was sitting having just been briefed by Alfred on the latest news "Master Bruce, the Joker has escaped!" Alfred exclaimed.

Bruce frowned and shook his head. "I knew it was too good to be true, he was always too arrogant to stay in prison for long."

"What do you want us to do?" Alfred asked.

Bruce shrugged. "Nothing. Just keep an eye out for him" Bruce said. "I'll handle Joker personally" he finished. He then got into his suit.

Damian then walked in through the entrance of the cave. "Father, I'm here!" Damian said.

"Damian. suit up," Bruce said.

"Yes Father!" Damian said, getting into his costume.

Bruce watched from the shadows as Damian put on his Robin suit and mask.

Elsewhere in Gotham City. Shoto and Momo were still tied up in the room, they had been there for hours, but then suddenly the door opens. The Joker walks in.

"Ahh my little pets! Don't worry, I won't kill you right away, you can still be useful to me!" Joker said.

Momo glared at Joker, "Leave us alone!" She demanded.

"No worries, I'll let you go" Joker said. "But you have to do something for me first."

Shoto was confused and didn't understand what was happening. "What do you want us to do?" He asked.

"I need you to help me find Batman, His location is a mystery, that is why I need your assistance," Joker said.

"We won't help you! You're the bad guy," Momo shouted.

"Oh, come now. How can helping me make you any worse off than you are already? I will make sure you both walk away safely if you help me. What do you say?" Joker said, waiting for their answer.

"How about I freeze you once I free myself from the ropes," Shoto said, his tone stating that he wasn't interested in whatever Joker is offering.

"I'll take that as a no," Joker said, disappointed. With that, Joker walked away, leaving Shoto and Momo stranded.

"I'm sorry, Todoroki," Momo said, feeling bad for not being able to help him.

"It's okay," Shoto said, trying to keep his composure. "Just focus on getting yourself free."

Momo nodded and began to try and free herself from the ropes. Shoto watched her for a moment before turning his attention to the door. He didn't want to be caught off guard before he used his flames to burn his ropes.

Momo concentrated on her ropes, trying to loosen them. She bit her lip as she tried to tug at the ropes, but they were tightly bound. She then thought about creating a dagger using her lipids so she starts to think about the atomic configuration for a dagger so she can reproduce it.

Shoto then felt the ropes around his wrists loosen and he quickly burned them away with his flames. He then turned to help Momo.

Momo began creating a small dagger which emerged from her hand, glowing from the heat of her quirk. She quickly used the dagger to slice her ropes and free herself from her restraints. She then turned to Shoto.

"Thank you, Todoroki," She said as she hugged him.

"It's okay," Shoto said, holding her tight. "You helped me a lot. I'm glad you're safe."

Momo then kissed him on the cheek. "I'm glad we're together," she said, looking deep into his eyes.

"I know. That's all that matters to me."
