CT-49-8214 was a very standard clone trooper in the Grand Army of the Republic, overly violent, but pretty much what the Kaminoins expected of all clone troopers. Of course, that meant following orders without question and whatnot. 8214 was trained as a standard infantry trooper on Kamino and went through field officer training as well, as he was intended to be a Sergeant. Being trained by an Alpha class ARC trooper meant he got some of the best training any clone could have. 8214 was trained by Alpha-40, nicknamed Brash, and that is where 8214's anger came from. During his Squads training, he would pick up Brash's anger and it formed into his personality. While many of his brothers, such as his three squad mates, would come to have good personalities and come up with names for each other, 8214 was the complete opposite. He didn't form any kind of good personality nor a bond with his brothers. He didn't even want a name, he was perfectly fine with just his CT Number. 8214 was assigned to the 501st Legion after his training was complete. He was placed within the 501st's Torrent Company, in charge of the 434th Squad, a standard infantry squad. He was deployed in 21BBY, shortly before the Umbara Campaign. Hearing his first deployment was going to be against living beings brought him joy, which was disturbing to quite a few members of the 501st. He didn't show joy very often. When the time came, his squad was deployed with the rest of the 501st (however much actually participated in the campaign) and General Skywalker. When he got off his gunship, he immediately took aim and started gunning down Umbaran's, which of course was their orders essentially, but as stated before he took joy in doing this. He would laugh look a mad man. Throughout the campaign, 8214 started showing off his anger and rage, which ended up giving him his name, Rage. He didn't like it, but it stuck by the time he tried to say something. In 19BBY, Rage would participate in the Battle of Coruscant, helping squads upon squads defend the Venator he and his squad had been stationed on. While many clone troopers died on board the Venator, Rage pushed on and would begin taking the droids on in close quarters combat, wacking the droids with his blaster rifle and using every single thermal detonator he had. Days later, when order 66 was issued, Rage would march on the Jedi temple with a good amount of the 501st. A few weeks after the end of the clone wars and the rise of the Galactic Empire, Rage was chosen to go through purge trooper training. The training took up to six months, but he was determined to do well, determined to serve the Empire.
Imperial City, Coruscant; three years after the Battle of Geonosis
Rage grunted as the other trooper's fist connected with his unprotected face. Anger constricted his throat, and he grabbed the man by his shoulders, launching his head forward, not giving in to the pain that emitted from his forehead and nose, which he was sure was broken. The trooper staggered back, and Rage had no intention of giving him time to recover. He took a step back and smiled. One well-placed kick to the face later, and Rage was in the 'freshers, fixing his broken nose and applying a small bandage to his busted eyebrow. Normally, he would have gone to the medics, but a Purge trooper was expected to perform his own first aid, so Rage was on his own. Not that he minded.
He stepped back from the mirror, and tilted his head at himself, suddenly wondering if he should feel bad for what he did to that other trooper. That other trooper. He didn't even know his name. That doesn't matter, Rage told himself. He knew what he was getting into. Well, maybe he didn't, but he sure did now.
Rage gathered his first aid supplies and headed back to his room. It wasn't a barracks shared with other clones, like he was used to, but a small room with nothing but a bed and a small dresser for clothes and other belongings. Rage put his kit into the top drawer and sighed. The finals were coming up, so he had a lot to prepare for. First, each trooper who made it this far would go against an Alpha ARC in combat. They were the best. Trained personally by Jango Fett before the Battle of Geonosis. Rage knew that better than most. Whoever passed that would then go on to fight against Vader himself in the ring of combat for a full five standard minutes. They weren't expected to win, just survive. Rage was good at that.
