50~ Out of Time

"So how will we defeat him?" Asked Nigel. Ray put his hand on y/ns shoulder. "Like y/n already said there has to be a way. I was thinking when I was watching him from the roof . Even if he's crazy strong he's still just a living thing. He'll die if we shoot his core. He gets injured if bullets hit him. Electricity works his senses can be messed with. Because he lives, he can also die. His regeneration, strength, size and speed are just off the charts. Let's not let fear take over us. We have to think about this calmly. He should be killable" explained Ray.

Y/n narrowed her eyes. "Come to think of it.... There was something I noticed....at the time why did that demon not regenerate it's hands immediately" y/n began

"You're right..." Ray said. "Nigel shot right through its hands, it was a deep wound. But he left it alone until right before he destroyed the houses. I assumed that regeneration happened automatically and naturally but...maybe it's actually done by choice so in that case..." y/n began. "Maybe there's a disadvantage to the regeneration" Ray said, putting his hand on his chin. "What do you mean?" Asked Emma.

"For example, maybe there's a limit to how many times you can regenerate. Or maybe it uses a lot of energy. Humans have something like that too. A cell population will divide a certain number of times until the cell stops. We heal quickly when we are young but it slows as we age" Ray explained. Emma turned to Mister. "So what you did was right. That method was the correct one" Emma said. "We will Fire away" Mister said. "We don't know when his sight will return. But while the flash bombs are working we will shoot him. Aim for his eyes" Ray began before his attention was drawn to the window seat on the outside of the houses walls.

Leuvis's little pet spotted them. Emma's eyes widened. "Damn it" Ray said under his breath. Leuvis's pet screeched at the top of its lungs to alert the demon. Ray took y/ns hand tightly and they all began to ran down the hallway of the house. The rooms walls suddenly bursted open, all the bricks smashed into the floor and glass was shattered. Leuvis walked inside of the house. "So....where are you Y/n?"

Everyone ran down the hallway as Mister jumped to the roof tops. The four sprinted down the narrow hallway being followed by the horrifying demon. They launched their bullets fast into the air at the demon. Nigel and Emma shot their bullets at Leuvis along with Ray and y/n who were standing on a table behind them. Emma and Nigel gave their signal to Y/n and Ray as they ran further down the hallway. As Leuvis crept closer to the couple Ray and y/n jumped off the table. "Y/n run!" Shouted Ray. Y/n did just that and joined Emma and Nigel who were waiting at the end of the hallway.

Ray threw the table in the air and kicked it with strength right into Leuvis's face. Ray then joined the three who were awaiting Leuvis's presence.

As soon as Leuvis caught up, the four ran down the long hallway even more facing the demon, shooting their guns at him the best they could. "Shoot with all we got!" Yelled Emma. Leuvis continued to dodge most of the bullets. "Did they change their strategy? They're shooting at me and not my necessarily at my eyes...on purpose. Does that mean they figured out my regeneration limit? If that's true, how wonderful. Perhaps that flash bomb was also used with the knowledge that our eyes and optic nerves are regions with slow regeneration. That means...I'm at a slight disadvantage. I need to get and stay outside" Leuvis said to himself.

The demon punched through the houses wall and stepped outside to the light. Only to be met with another human awaiting his company. "Another..." Leuvis said under his breath as his little pet screeched in fear.

Y/n, Ray, Emma and Nigel ran outside. "We can still go after him!" Said y/n. "Hit as many bullets at him as possible!!" Added Ray.

Mister, Nigel, Emma , y/n And Ray were all shooting at the demon once again. Bullets flashing through the air. "Now all of them are outside-the footsteps and bullets teach me which directions all five are in.  Now is the time for my counter offensive" Leuvis said.

Suddenly a large piece of a roof from one of the houses soared through the air at Leuvis who automatically dodged it. "Huh?" The demon asked turning around to be met with Adam staring at him. "22194. 22194. 22194" Adam kept saying aloud.

As the loud crash of the roof was heard, Ray immediately put his arm in front of y/n. She held his arm tightly as pieces of wood and brick crashed to the surface all around them. "What was that?" "What the heck? That big guy just threw a piece of a roof" Ray said looking rather confused. "Adam?!" Y/n and Emma said at the same time as Nigel gasped. "Hey Adam!! Knock that monster out!!" He yelled at the top of his lungs.

Adam huffed and puffed and threw a massive punch at Leuvis sending him flying into the air. Y/n held Rays arm closer to her chest in shock as what just happened. "That was insane!" Cheered Emma.

Adam stood in-front of the four accompanied with Violet. "Violet! She came to help!" Cheered Emma. Mister looked at everyone on the ground. "Nows our chance! Shoot!! Go!!" He yelled. Y/n, Ray, Emma, Nigel and Violet prepared their guns and all shot at the same time just as Leuvis landed back onto the stone ground. "Huh- he's still able to dodge the bullets?!" Ray yelled in frustration. "Emma! I met up with Adam over there. Can you tell me if you used the flash bomb?" Violet asked. "We did! But its effect will run out soon. You just have to shoot him. It doesn't have to be his eyes! If you're able to hit that demon a normal shot will still damage him!!" Emma explained quickly. "Got it!" Nodded Violet.

Violet ran towards Adam. "Adam keep throwing!" She yelled. Adam understood and began taking more pieces of the broken houses and hitting them straight at Leuvis. Leuvis kept trying his best to dodge the humans. "So they really have realised...this is tough. I am not what I once was. Aging is an annoyance. I had to regenerate all of my cells because of the electrocution!! And I'm still regenerating my optic nerves from the flash bomb. My injured hand from the gun shot...and my broken arm from that blow. It's been a while since I've moved this much. Perhaps I'm paying now for my recklessness in the past.....however is this nothing. I'm enjoying myself for the first time in several hundred years. I'm not the one to be defeated here" Leuvis said to himself in his head.

The humans kept pushing through with their plan. "There's no mistakes- it's still working. But it's not enough, we will keep firing away and exhaust him" y/n said to herself.

Leuvis smirked and ran towards Violet to attack her. Emma sprinted up behind the demon and threw another flash bomb at him but Leuvis saw it coming. "You can't use the same trick twice!!" He laughed.

Y/n and Ray side by side ran closer to the demon firing bullets. "Don't get so close Ratri or you'll regret it" the demon hissed as he reached his claw like hand towards y/n. Just before he could lay a finger on her, Mister shot perfectly at Leuvis's jaw. Blood began to splatter everywhere. Adam also picked up a large pillar and threw it with all his power at Leuvis. Leuvis dodged it making room for it to hit Nigel, Emma and Violet. "Run!" Shouted y/n. The three sprinted as far as they could but some of the rock from the pillar hit Emma's arm harshly as she dropped her gun. "Are you okay?!" Asked Nigel, helping her up. "My arm- it hurts really bad" Emma trembled trying to keep it together. "Do you want to-" Violet began. "No. We need to finish this we can fix my arm later" Emma whispered through the pain.

"My sight...it's staring to return" Leuvis said. He spotted Adam a few feet in-front if him and punched him with strength into the stomach. Adam went flying to the house Mister was standing on. "Adam!! Mister!!" Y/n cried. Rays eyed narrowed as he put his hand gently on y/ns shoulder gaining her attention. "That demon is about to heal. His senses will return. So this- we need to fire everything we've got!!" Ray yelled. Y/n nodded as everyone heard.

Ray and y/n ran towards Nigel, Violet and Emma as fast as they could, blasting bullets out of their guns. "Guys it's working!" Cheered Emma. Suddenly Leuvis flew into the air with a jump. "Huh?! Where did he go?!" Violet turned her head.

Ray looked at y/n who was standing beside him. In the matter of a few seconds Leuvis appeared behind Y/n. Rays eyed widened as he was about to push her out of the way......but he was too late.

Leuvis stabbed his sharp claws through y/ns body causing blood to drip rapidly from her torso. She felt as if she couldn't breathe and her eyes were opened wide in shock. Y/n turned her head to the raven haired boy. "Ray-" she managed to whisper through the pain. "Apologies y/n but you are out of time" Leuvis said. "Y/n!!!" Cried voices as they began to blur into nothingness. Y/n closed her eyes and fell to the ground.
