Personality: Mavis always comes off as friendly and even a bit cheeky. She doesn't hide her true personality and lets things be. Though she does hide her emotions often and rarely does she let others see her less then happy. Mavis feels she has to keep up a front so no one pries into her shitty home life. She's pretty darn sarcastic and always has a comeback to any insult thrown her or her friends way. Mavis is also quite witty and usually seems to know exactly what to say. She's truly a beacon of happiness and hope for her friends. Underneath she's crumbling slowly the pieces falling away in bigger and bigger chunks. She won't be able to keep up her illusion of a good life for ever. Her closest friends haven't been to her home when her mom's drunk and the house a mess. They rely on her for things and don't see the desperate girl underneath crying out for help before it's too late. Mavis is constantly embarrassed by her mom and the way she seems to show up at the worst times. She won't show it outwardly but, the bullying that follows really hurts. It scars her skin like no wound ever could.

Likes: lollipops, animals, nature, when she can be alone, when her mom's not home, a clean house, peace and quiet, her friends not seeing her weak

Dislikes: her friends seeing her weak, a messy house, being out of lollipops, being told she's going to make her teeth rot, bullying, homophobes and the like, when her mom's home, her friends finding out about her home life.

Fears: her mom, things spiraling out of control, loosing control

Medical issues: a stutter that she's mostly gotten rid of. It only really shows when she's really emotional, PTSD, reoccurring issues with her leg

Backstory: Mavis grew up an only child to two caring and kind parents. However at six years old she lost her dad in a traumatic car accident. She was in the car with him and remembers screaming with tears running down her cheeks. Calling for her dad only to have him not answer back. All she could see was her dad limp with blood surrounding him. Mavis was treated for a broken leg and other injuries. Her leg wasn't set properly and still causes issues to this day. Once her dad had been buried and everything taken care of her mother changed. She turned to alcohol and constantly got lost in the bottle. By the time she was 8 years old Mavis was regularly cleaning up after her mother. She didn't have much of a childhood from the time her mother turned to alcohol. Her mother can't see that this is a burden to her own daughter. She can't tell that Mavis never really wants to see her especially in public.
