After The Nightmare (Loop)

There was silence for a few seconds. Kid didn't know if Felix was joking or if he was being for real.
He slowly opened his mouth.
"You...want me...to....what" Kid said unsure if he had heard correctly
"I want you to kill my father, it really isn't that hard to understand" Felix said with such numbness in his voice it frightened Kid.
He was dumb founded, he couldn't speak.
"He actually wants me to kill his father...?" Kid didn't understand why Felix would ask him such thing, he wants him to commit murder, he wants him to MURDER someone, he wants him to kill his father.

"So? Are you going to do it or not" Felix suddenly asked "I don't have all night"
Kid looked at him, took a deep breath and started to ask his questions.
"Okay...First of all" Kid said "Why do you want me to kill your father"
"In simple terms, I absolutely despise him" Felix said with a smile.
"That's not it. You don't kill someone just because you hate them" Kid argued "Why do you want him dead"
Felix's smile dissapeared quickly, being replaced by a strong gaze. He didn't understand why Kid wanted to know so much, it wasn't any of his business, he just wanted him to kill his father, was it really to much too ask.
Felix sighed.

"Look, I don't want you to get involved, if you do, you could get hurt" He said as his gaze softened
"And why do you care if I get hurt?" Kid replied while crossing his arms.
"I-I.... I just..... If you-.... I-If you got hurt I....I would..." Felix was stuttering, he was cornered, what was he supposed to say? He didn't even know why he cared about Kid.
Kid raised an eyebrow, curiosity invading him. He wanted to know what Felix was hiding, and why he got all nervous all of the sudden.
Kid was about to speak yet again when a loud sound interrupeted him.

"What was tha-" Kid started to say, yet he couldn't finish his sentence because he felt how Felix took his hand and dragged him behind a random bush.
"The fuck was that all abou-" He was interrupted yet again since Felix had covered his mouth with his hand.
"What the fuck is happening" Kid wondered, he looked up and saw a very agitaged Felix. "What has him so.....scared.."

Kid was trying to analize the situation when suddenly they heard another sound and this time, closer. It seemed this alerted Felix because he hugged Kid and dragged him close to his chest while he peeked from behind the bushes, in order to protect him from whatever that was out there.

"Wh-What the- WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK" Kid was now freaking out too, and getting kind of flustered. Felix was someone who was calm at all times, he always kept a very good composture no matter the situations, to the point it was disturbing. Seeing him this nervous was NOT something common and it meant that something real dangerous was close to them. Plus, Kid wasn't used to being so close physically to another person, because ever since he was a kid, he was neglected, and the time anyone touched him, it was to hit him or something like that.

The noise was getting harder to hear, which meant that whoever was out there, was leaving or checking farther parts of the playground. It was then when Felix removed his hand from Kids mouth and let him go.
"Look, I need you to leave" Felix whispered in an agitated voice "You need to get out of here, run as fast as you can to your house, lock all the doors, close all the windows and do not come out until I tell you too, got it?"
Kid was alredy freaking out, he wanted to know what was out there, he really did, but he no longer had the power to turn back in time, if the thing that was out there killed him, he would be dead, for good. So, ignoring all his desires to try and find out what was out there, he nodded slowly.

Felix smiled at him, relieved.
"Okay, run in three... two... one... now!"
The second Felix yelled now Kid bolted out of the playground, he didn't look back, but from what he heard, Felix also ran out of there.

Kid continued running at full speed until he arrived to his house, he opened the door and quickly got in. He was breathing heavily and sweating cold sweat, but he couldn't relax just yet, he got to work and locked all the doors and windows just as Felix had told him to do.
He went into his bedroom and sat against the door, he stayed there for the rest of the night and obviously didn't get any sleep. He could barely rest on a normal night, and the fact that he was a bit paranoic didn't help. Kid stayed up all night looking at his phone, waiting to receive a text from Felix telling him that it was safe to come out.

He felt pathetic relaying so heavily on a single person he didn't even like. He didn't even know what was the thing that scared Felix so much, he wanted to find out, he really did, but at the same time, he knew that finding out would mean his death.

The night was over and Kid was starting to see the first rays of sunshine. He had spent all the night up, not that it was the first time.
He heard a crash and he quickly got up, he grabbed a bat he always had nearby in cases of emergency and went down the stairs slowly. Another crash was heard, it came from the hall, Kid was sure, he slowly aproached the hall and when he finally got there he dropped the bat.
"Penny?" Kid asked in a sleepy voice
"Good morning Kid! Did you sleep well?" Penny happily said.
Kid stared at her for a few seconds before turning around and going back to his room
"Hey! Ignoring people is rude, you know..." Penny pouted.
"Yeah.. yeah... you just... keep doing whatever and don't break anything else.... please"
Kid was defenitely too tired to get angry
"Are you okay?" Penny yelled from downstairs
"Yeah... just... tired" Kid said as he yawned.
He went into his room and looked in the mirror, this time, he really did look like shit, but he was too tired to care.
"I'll just get ready for school, I have a lot of things I need to talk about with Felix"

Kid got out of the shower and looked at the time, he still had half an hour to get ready. So he, very slowly, put his typical clothes on, he was too tired to try and look for something different.

After getting dressed, Kid went downstairs and into the kitchen. Penny normally cooked him breakfast so he waited for a bit a he was given a plate filled with waffles, he took the plate and sat in the floor, he was too tired to walk to a table.
"Umm.. Kid, are you sure you want to eat on the floor?"
Kid looked up and just nodded.
"Okay.... Anyways I hope you enjoy them!" Penny said with a smile "I'll wait for you outside, Ted should arrive soon" And with that Penny left, leaving Kid alone, eating, on the floor, what a great way to start the day.

Kid finished his waffles and went to his room again in order to grab his phone and backpack. But when he grabbed his phone, the screen lit up and showed a new message from Felix. Kid looked at it for a few seconds and then opened it.
"Kid, we need to talk, find me in recess"
Kid sighed. He had to search for him? So much work. He put his phone in his pocket and went downstairs to leave his house. This time, he locked the door.

"Yooo, hi Kid!" Billy screamed from Ted's car.
"Get in Kid!" Ted yelled.
Kid just looked at them and got in the vehicle.
"Is Nugget's friend okay?" Nugett asked
Kid didn't answer, since he was daydreaming.
"Kid?" Lily asked as he slightly moved Kid.
"Oh... yeah i'm fine... just tired" Kid answered
Everyone in the car looked at eachother with worried faces, not because they were worried for Kids sleep schedule, no, but because they were worried about what Kid would do that day if anyone pissed him off, the last time he was like this, Buggs ended up in the hospital.
"Let's keep him away from anyone that annoys him" Penny whispered
"Yeah, especially Buggs, Cindy and my brother" Ted whispered back.
Everyone nodded, they were going to try their best to keep Kid at bay.

It was going to be an interesting day.

I decided to get some action going in between Kid and Felix because it was getting a bit boring for me.
It'll probably take me more time to upload the next chapter because, well, ✨️school✨️ but I'll try not to take so long to upload it.
