I turned the door knob to our house, pushing the door open. Our house was seemingly left untouched, which was very surprising to me.
I could feel tears forming from my tear ducks.
Springtrap stood close behind me. He had a hand rested on my shoulder.
I shook my tears away, reaching my hand up to lay it upon his. "Are we just supposed to go back to our normal lives now?" I questioned.
Springtrap's ears fell back against his head. He seemed to struggle to get any words out. "I-I don't know." He answered, his expression dropping.

The two of us took a seat together on the couch, the golden rabbits arm wrapped around me.
There was several moments of silence between the two of us, while we were just contemplating all the shit we had just gone through.
My husband finally broke the quietness. "Y/N, I can't believe I'm saying this, but I'm scared. I'm scared for you, Deliah, Harry, Matt, Nick, Sharron. I don't want to see any of you get hurt because of my wrong doings. I mean, people died today. We have to talk about this. How are we supposed to go on like nothing happened?"
I looked away, shrinking in on myself. I felt an endless pit of sickening pain welling up inside my stomach. I wanted to throw up, just so I'd have a way to rid myself of this feeling.
A dry heave escaped from my throat, but that was it. No tears. Why? Why? Why?
Why couldn't I cry? I felt something. Regret? Fear? Mourn? People did die, and I couldn't help but feel somewhat responsible for their deaths. I didn't know any of the victims personally, well, maybe one.
"My dad." I spoke through my empty expression.
Springtrap raised an eyebrow. "What?" His eyes soon winded, his ears pricking up in alarm. "Your dad! Oh my god! Did he hurt you!?" He wrapped his arms around my fragile frame. "I'm so sorry Y/N, I should have been there for you!"
I quietly returned his embrace, though I knew there was nothing he could have done.
I shook my head, fidgeting with my hands. "No, he didn't. B-but he might have got hurt." I responded anxiously.
The bunny softened his grip on me, almost letting out a sigh of relief. Suddenly, his eyes shot open again. "Wait, what do you mean?"

I then explained to Springtrap how the three teenagers practically saved my life. He seemed taken aback, but still grateful for the little troublemakers.
He let out a chuckle, smiling softly. "That little girls special."
I smirked through my blank slate. "She really is."

Springtrap stood up, staring back at me. "We should probably hit the sack. The suns gonna be coming up soon, and I think we both deserve to relax a bit."
A light pink hue covered my cheeks, as I stood up with him. "That's sounds like a good idea to me, darling." I linked arms with him, the two of us making our way towards bed.

I opened Springtraps back panel, fiddling with some of his wiring.
A while back, when the two of us first moved into our new home together, I learned to how to help Springtrap get his own form of rest. I'm easy terms I guess what I'd be doing is just powering him off, but it's a little more complicated than that.
I'm able to slow his movements and mental strength until he eventually powers off completely for around 4 to 6 hours. It's similar to how a phone runs out of battery. Thankfully, Springtrap doesn't need to be charge or anything since his suit was made in the 80s.

I finished fiddling with my husbands mechanics, and the two of us crawled into bed together.
Springtrap wrapped his arms around my lower waist, spooning me in his grasp.
My breathing slowed, as I began to feel an overwhelming wave of drowsiness come over me. I hadn't realized how long it'd been since I'd gotten any sleep. But I already knew this was gonna be one of the best rests of my life.
Springtrap's golden fur left me feeling warm and safe.
He leaned in, whispering in my ear. "I love you Y/N."
I breathed softly, smiling. "I love you too, dear."
