-it's great project Mr. Kim, it's a pleasure to cooperate with you. I'm sure it'll be perfect. It will take time of course, we need to make sure everything goes as planned. We'll start in a year if that's okay, - said the man with satisfied expression on his face

-sure, take as much time as you need! - said Doyoung not knowing there was young girl behind the door listening to the whole conversation.

Mi ran to her room when she realized the man was about to leave. Good for her, nobody noticed her being there.
Mi happened to be walking past her father's office when she heard something interesting, she decided to eavesdrop the whole conversation, so she did.

It wasn't like she cared so much about what her father did, but something about this plan felt wrong. In other cases the projects were all in big cities but this time they had to destroy the whole forest. Even though Mi wasn't big fan of animals or nature in general, she still felt like this project was terrible idea, it was just a feeling she had that couldn't be explained.

What made the situation scarier was her father, Kim Doyoung. He's perfectionist man and if he sets a goal, he'll do anything to complete it. He's also very stubborn, which was one of the reasons why him and Mi's mother got divorced. She married someone else and left Mi with Doyoung. She calls Mi sometimes, they even go out once in a while but it's always extremally awkward. They became so distant, Mi calls her ma'am... that's how bad it is.

Saturday morning went normal, which convinced Mi that the whole day would be chill as well, until someone appeared outside the window. Mi got so scared as she wasn't expecting to see a person with cat ears, wide open eyes, staring at her making holes in her soul.

Eunchae mouthed Mi to open the wondow. Mi slowly got up her bad and did as she was told.

-what are you doing here? - Mi asked, still shocked. She kept looking at her cat ears trying to figure out if it was real or not

-well... hello?! You should say hello when you meet someone!!

-hello?! Now tell me what are you doing here? You scared me!

-okay!! I'm sorry!! I was just walking by and thought i'd say hi. - she said and gave mi reassuring smile. Her words made Mi even more confused, it all felt like a fever dream

-where were you though?!... wait.. were you in forest?

-yea!! I told you i like that place so much! But my king got mad at me for inviting you there. - she looked down as she said those last words

-your what? King? - Mi felt the need to pinch herself this time to make sure she wasn't dreaming

-yes!! My king!! We have king of the forest, who understands livings in all forests of the world!! He's the best out of all kings!! Though we didn't know there were other kings too, - girl talk so passionately about forest and her king, you could see sparkles flickering in her eyes

On the other hand, Mi couldn't process things her friend said. She even thought it's either her going crazy or her friend.

-hey are you listening?

-yea..

-ok!! The other king... he appeared last night when we were having really important meeting. He said he's the real king of the forests because he understands and controls the trees. He also has this really cool healing powers!! But still my king is way better than that jerk!!

-are you okay?

-what?

The silence was loder than any noise.

-i mean.. are you okay? Wait...omg... did you eat mushrooms in that forest??? did you smoke any plant like.. maybe weed??

-oh i get it.. so you don't believe me... - girl stopped for a minute then continued - look at my ears!! They look like cat ears right?? Now look away for a second please!!
