Y/N nodded, she looked at ghost and smiled.
"Ready?"
He nodded, swiftly grabbing his stuff and getting to his feet. Y/N did the same and the two of them were running steadily to the building to which they climbed up and made their way to the ladder.
While they did that, Soap stayed put in his position and Gaz and Price followed not too far behind as they made their way to the roof.
Y/N and Ghost took hold of the bars that ascended them to the balcony. As they climbed, it began to rain suddenly. It was hard, cold rain that pelted down on them.
"Fuck the ladder is getting slippery." Y/N said.
Ghost on the other hand didn't have much problem, the texture on his gloves giving him tension on the metal beams.
Y/N climbed some more, only her boot skidded and caused her to trip up a bit. She held onto the ladder tightly, breathing out heavily as she was scared.
She looked down at ghost who now had his hand on her hip. She stared down into his eyes, feeling secure knowing he was under her.
She snapped out of her thoughts though, hearing Gaz over the comms.
"Weapons hot, they know we're here!" He spoke.
Y/N cursed and skipped the ladder up, climbing over the railing that lead them onto the balcony that they finally made it onto.
Ghost soon followed and pushed past y/n, grabbing a flash grenade.
"Open the door just enough and shut it when this goes in." He says.
Y/N nods and she walks to the door that was not too far from her, opening it. She heard voices from the inside and a few gun shots went through the door.
Ghost tossed the grenade into the room and y/n shut the door like told.
Her ears rang just a bit as it went off, her face scrunching up and turning from the scene but she quickly got a hold of herself.
She kicked down the door, her AR in her arms as she shot around the room. Gun fire emitted through the air but it dyed down almost as fast as it all started.
She entered the room herself, sweeping the area before motioning for Ghost to follow.
The two of them entered the room and they ventured further into the building. They looked for the closest staircase, which happened to be right outside the room they'd just entered.
A few men tried shooting at them, some were in uniform and some weren't. Which confused y/n but now wasn't a time to get into her thoughts.
She just ran upstairs, remembering what Price said. Ghost wasn't too far behind.
"Go, I've got your six." Ghost yells out, scouting the area as he follows close to the girl.
Y/N trusted him and just made her way to the floor above them.
This floor was different than the one they were just on though. Instead of rooms and doors it was bombarded with storage units and control panels, but there was one room off the side.
One that she could only assume was where they kept the control system. They're so close to ending this mission.
"Ghost," y/n started, falling back a bit. He wasn't behind her anymore.
She saw two familiar figures come up to her, "y/n, check fire." They called out.
"Captain, Gaz, where's ghost!?" She yelled over the commotion.
Just on time, Ghost comes from behind a storage container.
"Swept the room!" He yells.
Suddenly a man came from behind y/n but he didn't last long as she cocked back and elbowed him in the face.
Y/N looked at him, then at the three men.
"The control system: y/n, get on it." Gaz said, running behind her to fight off the men coming upstairs.
Y/N nodded, but her gut slowed her down.
"Ghost..! Come with me." She said.
Ghost shook his head, waving a hand. "I swept the area," he said, fighting with a man that'd run up on him.
"Simon, please!"
"Y/n go!" He yelled.
She turned and ran into the room, her heart racing and her mind clouded. She'd run over to the big control panel on the wall, opening it and scurrying around as she started fumbling with the system.
Suddenly she heard glass break, followed by something hitting the floor.
A blonde man stood up on the ceiling, watching as a separate man in that same damned Shadow uniform dropped down from the ceiling.
But y/n's hands were busy on the control panel and it happened so fast she didn't have time to grab her gun.
The man swiftly ran up behind her, causing a sharp, piercing pain to settle throughout her body.
She yelled out, clutching her stomach.
Right below her best stood a knife piercing through her skin.
She turned around, now having a hold of her gun she shot the man that stabbed her. She aimed up towards the ceiling where the glass roof was broken and shot at it, but the man that was also there was gone.
She reached down and pulled the knife out her skin, wincing and yelling out.
Y/N placed a hand on the wound.
Blood.
Lots of blood.
