mals pov✨
i started heading back up to the dorms considering it was pitch black down there. i didn't really want to see evie right now so i went to the boys room to see if i could sleep there but there was no answer so i figured she must've told them and they were in our dorm. i didn't want to deal with that so i went to audrey. i knocked on her door and she answered
"hey mal, feel any better?" she asked
"i do actually, thanks for the suggestion i will definitely be going there more often, it was so peaceful and calming..." then i trailed off. audrey also had sight of the isle from her dorm so i was just staring at it
"mal?" she asked but i could barely hear and didn't give an answer
"mal?" she asked again
"girl!" she said and i snapped out of it and looked at her
"yeah?"
"you spaced. you okay?"
"yeah, just looking at the isle. i miss it audrey"
"you do?"
"why does everyone keep asking me that every time i say i miss it?!" i said raising my voice a little
"i'm sorry, i didn't mean to offend you" she said sitting down next to me
"you didn't, i'm sorry i shouldn't have raised my voice. but yeah i miss it. the isle is my home, it's where i grew up, and it's all i've known" i said and looked down
"i get that. i've only every lived in auradon so i can't imagine what it would feel like moving to a completely new place" she said and placed a hand on my arm
"yeah and plus there's someone..back home. i kind of cheated on him with ben, but like ben wasn't my fault i didn't want that to happen" i said and looked at her
"no it's definitely not your fault. did you tell ben you were with someone?"
"no, because when i brought up the fact that he was with you he said 'that doesn't really matter right now' and then proceeded to kiss me"
"that little bitch" she said. i laughed
"only evie knows that there's someone back on isle. she doesn't know who though because we're supposed to hate them" i said looking back out to the isle
"oh, you can tell me, i can keep a secret. evie came by earlier asking if i had seen you. i told her that i knew where you were but i wasn't going to tell her"
"you tell her i was getting away from her?"
"i did, yeah"
"good. she needed to hear it" i said with a small laugh and she laughed as well
"but i'm kind of seeing harry hook" i said "we've all been enemies since we were kids. it wasn't until about 2 or 3 years ago i started hanging out with them and getting to know them in secret from the others. we all grew close and harry and i have been dating for a year now. uma and her crew know. evie and the others don't because i refuse to tell them because i'm scared of how they might react when they know"
"kind of how evie reacted when she saw us together is how i'm thinking that you think it'll go" she said. i nodded "exactly that" i said and looked at her.
"have you talked to him any since you've been here?" she asked
"no, i have no way to contact him, there's no cells or anything on the isle"
"i might have an idea" she said smiling
"we have mail birds, i can get you one and i have the perfect one in mind for you. i'll be back" said and got up
"wait, right now?"
"yes right now, what better time than now?"
"okay, i guess"
"good. now stay here, make yourself at home. watch some tv or something and i'll be back" she said and walked away before giving me the chance to say anything else. i decided i would watch something on the tv while waiting for her to come back.

i had just finished the first episode of the vampire diaries when she came back. she had the cage covered and told me to close my eyes so i did. then she told me to open. "audrey!" i exclaimed and smiled "it's perfect" it was a black raven that had a purple tint to it
"she's a beauty for sure" audrey said "i knew to go with a raven and then she just spoke to me seeing the purple in her considering well.." she said gesturing to me
"yeah i get it" i said and nodded and laughed
"what we're you watching when i came back by the way?"
"oh i found a show called the vampire diaries so i thought i would check it out, i just finished watching the first episode"
"oh cool. i've heard of it and thought of looking into it" she said
"oh really? it's gorey" i said
"i don't really mind" she said and shrugged
"i can restart the first episode and you can watch while i write this letter to him" i said
"yeah sure" so that's exactly what we did. i restarted the episode and then i walked over to her desk, pulled out paper and a pen and began writing.
