- Early May, 2046 - (Five days ago)
Any day now, Jamie thought to himself as he left the boxcar that contained his project. Everything was close. He was close to finishing. Daija was close to finding him, according to Zade—the henchman he used truth serum to get information out of.
He spent many hours, days and even weeks staring at Oliver Steven's old notes that he almost memorized them. He knew that once he was finished, he'd have to take it and hoped that he had it correct. Even though he checked his new formula about twenty different times, he was still unsure.
When he was in the city, he didn't find any new pursuers. CJ updated Victor earlier and told him that the leaders were getting restless, but he overheard Tony and Adrienne talking about some operation next week, but there wasn't a specific day or time.
Jamie was slightly concerned about Amaya. She had tried compelling him earlier, and thankfully, it was blocked by his updated bracelet. He didn't know if it was because she was anxious, suspicious, or both. He'd need to keep an eye on her.
As he wrote the last of his letters to people in his box car later that night, he grabbed the one he wrote for Daija, took a lighter and burned it. The next time they saw each other, one of them would die.
Any day now.
