Age/reg oneshots!

While Isaac is confused about why his brain is trying to convince him to leave the adult world, Nick thankfully has some understanding of age regression and helps him!

(First time slipping, panic attack, mute, safety cuddles.)

He's been fine all day, doing what he does everyday editing, meetings, fixing brand deals and just having fun with his friends, so why is it that when he's finally getting ready to chill for the night his brain is going blurry? Not blurry in a sense that's dizzy or passing out but in a way he's never felt before or understands.

Almost as if he can't think straight?

He's sat on his overly large beanbag in the living room with SpongeBob on the screen? must have been from earlier when Larry and Tanner were goofing around, though he can't find it in him to turn it over to something he wants to watch.

Honestly he can't find it in himself to do anything actually, the haze of his brain has taken over almost completely he wants to call out to one of the boys but he's struggling to find his voice.

Almost as if an angel could hear his pleas Nick walked out of his room heading straight towards Isaac, he's silently thanking whatever sent nick to him.

"Fancied a bit of kids cartoons did ya" Nick asks with a hint of teasing, Isaac stills for a second how can he respond when no words are coming to mind, simply shaking his head as some kind of a response. Nick just laughs, "how come you didn't switch it over then?" Again Isaac just shrugs. He knows his behaviour is out of character but it's the best he can do right now, "you giving me the silent treatment now or something?" More questions he can't answer. Tears well in his eyes out of frustration as he continues to shake his head towards Nicks constant asking.

Frustration soon set into to panic, tears started flowing faster and his body began to shake.

Nick's words stopped at the sight of his bestfriend crumbling before him, instead of talking he wrapped his arms tightly around Isaac telling him to follow his breathing and calm down, he can't help but feel guilty for setting him off but he's confused why Isaac has gone mute all a sudden.

Considering Isaac never cries or has never had a panic attack as far as He's aware he's concerned something bigger could be happening but without communication he's abit stuck. Acting On a whim he decided to ask the newly calm boy a rather bizarre question, "isy, how old are you?" Thinking the nickname may come off as a less judgemental question not to upset the man again.

The man in his arms stills completely before shaking his head with a shrug, the fact he didn't use his hands to show a number was a clear indication that Isaac was completely clueless to what's happening and that he's regressing, he's probably terrified in his confused mind as it's his first time.

Thankfully Nick was aware of age/re and had some understanding of how to deal with it after catching Larry on the phone with Tanner during a slip, he learned later that Larry was tanners carer and they have to call sometimes when one is out of town to deal with Tanners slips however Nick sometimes helps if Larry can't be there for any reason. The others aren't aware of his younger mind and nick would never tell anyone unless Tanner said it was okay, but back to now.

Nick has never dealt with a first time slip and is a-bit out of his depth.

Isaac already seemed calm and comfy cuddling up with Nick on the beanbag and it almost felt criminal for him to move so instead he decided to shift himself into a comfier position before pulling Isaac on top of him so he could relax his head against his chest and view the tv better, although he'd rather watch something else he'd settle with SpongeBob since Isaac appeared content.

Daringly he stroked his fingers lightly through Isaacs hair while they watched, it was a risky move as usually the younger didn't like his hair being touched however he snuggled closer to Nick pulling a relieved sigh from the older. It only took a few episodes for Isaac's mind to shut off for the night and give into sleep.

Nick wasn't worried about them waking up together but Isaac's response to coming out of small space and the conversation that will follow, but for now he'll just relax and keep the little one safe in his hold, thankfully there was already a fluffy blanket sat on the beanbag almost as if it was waiting for them.
