'y/n! you'd better be ready!'
your eyes widen. 'oh shit.' suddenly getting up from your bed, hair all over the place and your mind unable to keep up with your movements, you looked on the floor for your school uniform.
'i'm coming upstairs in two minutes! two!'
you curse to yourself as you find the crumpled uniform near your dresser. 'u-uh! yeah! i'm ready, don't worry!'
as you slip some socks on as well as a shirt, you see someone at your window with bright red hair.
'flayon!' you cover your legs on instinct.
'y/n, waking up late! i can't stand at your door forever, you know.'
'i'm sorry, i just forgot to set my alarm. 5 more minutes.'
he sighed and slipped into your room, the cold air making you shiver. 'i'll wait!' he chirps, spreading himself on your bed.
you stare at him blankly before slipping on a skirt. 'i can't believe they won't let me wear baggy trousers. it's so cold this time of year.'
'first day of school is always the worst..' the tiny man groaned into your pillow. you were sure that he was breathing it in or something.
'i'm ready, i think.' you brush your hair messily, drawing it back to show your tired face. 'we can go now.'
he looked up from your pillow and grinned at you. 'awesome! let's get some breakfast, i'm starving~'
as the two of you left your room, you noted that flayon still had his shoes on, you frowned at him.
'why didn't you eat at your house? now we'll be wasting even more time.'
'oh, we can just take it to go.'
he avoided my question...
your mother spotted you both.
'flayon, what did i say about entering through the window?''not to do it..' the red-hair muttered. his eyes lit up when he was given a peice of toast. 'ohmigod thanks, i was starving!'
he grabs the toast, sets it in his mouth and ran out the door. you take some toast as well.
'are you excited to see all your friends again?' your mother asked.
'i guess..' you muttered. inside, a warm feeling filled your chest. i do miss everyone.
you stood at the door, bag on your shoulder and toast in your hand. 'see you, mom!' you shouted, chasing after flayon hastily.
september was normally a month many people did not like. start of school, that feeling of dread.
ofcourse you had that too. but you were more excited to meet your friends again.
you see your red-haired friend skipping across the pavement, kicking orange leaves.
'don't run off like that.' you wheezed.he snickered at you. 'you're kinda out of shape, y/n. before, you had no problem with keeping up with me!'
you shot a glare at him, still trying to catch your breath, looking at your scuffed trainers. 'summer holiday makes you lazy when you have a phone to use all day, y'know?'
he nodded with a knowing smirk. 'mmhmm.'
'it's true!'
he just carried on walking forward with a smile on his face.
you sighed, looking around you. it was pretty early and the sun wasn't out, so the sky looked like it was really early dawn.
that blue grey colour filled you with nostalgia.
