OCTOBER 21ST  3 and 1/2 years later

Gloomy as usual. What can we expect? it's the real life version of Gotham.

And like, Gotham, Hell's Kitchen got its own Batman and Cat Women.

Matt and Foggy after Franks case became very popular among criminals. The two were doing jobs left and right, and usually didn't even have enough time to breathe. Hell, even Karen, whom i sin law school is tired just looking at them work.

Turns out they one, and Mercedes got a heck load of cash from the government. Frank would be out in four years, him and Karen would be able to have the kids that they planned on before the case, and every party worked out.

right?

"Mahoney, but if you leave, who the hell is going to take your place—" asked Mercedes as they walked through Hell's kitchens streets.

"You." responded Mahoney as he handed he took a sip from his coffee, "what?" asked Mercedes with a halt.

"you? you're head lieutenant Ms.Castle"

Thats right, Mercedes took back her last name after the case was over. Turns out the public sided with Frank now so her being a Castle, wasn't a bad thing. Actually a really good thing.

"you're joking." said Mercedes as her grip nearly folded away from her foam cup.

Mahoney came up to her, and smiled as he then un buttoned his badge, unpinned her silver one and replaced it with his gold one.

"your fucking kidding me." said Mercedes with a smile from ear to ear as she saw the gold badge way on her jacket.

"you can be happy, this is a major accomplishment, Commander"

"commander?" asked Mercedes as all weight left her body.

"thats you. Commander Mercedes, or Commander Castle... or just Commander."

"I'm, commander?" asked Mercedes as her hands went over the golden badge.

"yes, and actually— yo and I are equals now. I'm no longer your boss."
"I'm Commander!" squirmed Mercedes with excitement as she hopped, "Oh my god—can I go?"

"yes yes yes, go tell the boyfriend— remember, you get to decide when you leave and don't! you're your own boss now"

Mercedes eyes glistened as she hooped away from Mahoney and bolted to Matts apartment. God, this was so exciting. One year, and her life had changed completely.

As she made her way to Matts, she hopped up stairs to tell him the news, hell it was five am so he should still be at his place.... it's not like she didn't come from there.

As Mercedes jammed the door open, she hopped though the hall and then her eyes laid on a women whose with olive skin, sleek black hair and slithering eyes were all pressed against Matts chest. 

Turns out Hells kitchen's Batman and Catwomen wasn't Mercedes and Matt.

Pointing her gun at the women, she said: 

"Who the fuck are you?"
