I met you when I was 7 and you were 6.

You looked so lonely, and I wanted to change that.

It was my first day of second grade.

All my life I had always been more of a social butterfly, always up for making new friends.

I liked talking to other people and being around people I liked.

You, on the other hand.

You were the complete opposite.

You had always been shy and closed off.

You were quiet, preferring to keep to yourself .

When I saw you on those swings, just sitting there staring at the ground while you silently cried, I knew I had to talk to you.

It was like something was drawing me towards you.

When I approached you, that's when it really started.

"Hey, are you okay?" I asked.

You looked up at me with your big glossy eyes and blushed nose.

You shook your head no, then looked back down at the ground.

"Why?"

"I...I can't swing... M-my feet won't touch the ground.." You said.

Your voice was so small and quiet.

"I can push you...if you want?" I offered.

"You would?" You asked sniffling.

"Yeah!" I said, getting behind you. "Hold on tight! I'm gonna push you now."

You did just that, tightening your grip on the chains of the swing.

I pushed you, making you swing back and forth.

You immediately stopped crying and began to smile.

You had adorable dimples and chubby cheeks.

I continued to push you with a big smile on my face.

Seeing you so happy made me even happier.

When we were done, I didn't want to leave. I liked being with you.

"What's your name?" I asked.

"Oh, my name is Yang Jungwon." You said.

"I'm Jay Park!" I said.

"Jay?" You repeated.

"Yeah?"

"I like that name...Jay." You said.

My heart melted.

You were just too adorable for me to handle.

Ever since that day, we were inseparable.

Over time, you opened up to me.

You started to show me the real you.

The Jungwon I grew to love...
