Eleanor's POV

I had to stay outside as Dr. Bush looked him over once more. Outside, I could see troops in formation, saluting the French flag. A few soldiers passed me, greeting me with a polite bow, some saying police comments about how it was good to see me awake.

"He's right as rain and should wake up any time." Dr. Bush said. I nodded in thanks to the Doctor once more before he left me alone with Tintin. His sleeping figure looked so peaceful. I looked around the room and spotted a pile of white fluff on the bed on the other side of the room.

I sat beside Snowy, petting him gently. His head sprang up and, noticing it was me, licked my face and attacked me with love. I couldn't help but laugh and giggle at the tickling sensation.

"Aww, I'm glad to see you too, Snowy." I said before pushing him away so I could look at him. "Thank you for helping save our lives." I said before giving him a big kiss on the head. I got up and walked over to Tintin's bed.

I kissed his head softly before sitting next to him and gently grabbing his hand. Snowy jumped up on the bed and sat on his lap. I giggled and pet his with my other hand a few times before moving to hold Tintin's hand with both of mine. I played with his fingers and held his hand gently, something I would always do with him when either one of us was nervous. I would occasionally pick up his hand and kiss the back of it as I waited for him to wake up.

I'm not sure how long I had been watching him when I heard a few groans from Tintin. I watched as he opened his eyes and took a deep breath. I gently squeezed his hand, letting him know I was there. He tilted his head and made eye contact with me. "Ella?" He asked.

"Hey, how are you feeling?" I asked him with a gentle smile. He sat up slowly in his bed and squeezed my hand. "I feel fine." He answered.

His eyes glanced over my body, eventually seeing my head. "How's your head?" He asked, reaching up, ghosting his finger over the gash.

"It's all good. Just a minor concussion is all. The bleeding's stopped." I nodded. "They said that Haddock was already awake. I just woke up maybe ten minutes ago. Do you wanna go see him?" I asked. I went to get up but Titnin's hand tightened around mine, keeping me in place.

"I just want to lay here for another minute or two. It's been a crazy past couple of days." He breathes out.

"Yeah, I get what you mean." I chuckled lightly. "And to think, it all started with that ship in the market."

"Then our house getting broken into." He added.

"Getting shot at in our own home..." I said, remembering the American man.

"The American Man..." Tintin trailed off. "He, and supposedly another man, died trying to warn us."

"Kidnapped, shipped, and shot at some more." I added.

"Picked up a drunkard sea captain who holds the answer to everything." Tintin said.

"Crashed a plane and then became stranded in the desert." I finished, exhaling at the reality of all that's happened.

"And now we're here and through it all I still feel..." Tintin trailed off, looking into my eyes.

"Still feel what?" I asked him, looking back at him. He looked at me with a look I had never seen before, but it wasn't bad - rather the opposite. My face flushed red and I looked to my lap to hide it. Tintin then cleared his throat, realizing he was staring too.

"Nothing, uh, maybe we should go visit Haddock. Make sure he's okay." Tintin said before squeezing my hand gently and letting it go.

I helped him get out of bed and made sure he felt fine, which he said he did. As Snowy jumped off the bed, a man entered the room.
