Ava was so happy that twitchcon was finally over. Of course, there were enjoyable parts, but the constant eye contact, the multitude of people, and the loud noises wore her out. She was especially glad to finally change her clothes. During twitchcon she wanted to appear the most normal she possibly could. This included wearing clothes that she hated and was rather uncomfortable in. It was a price to pay to fit in. Niki assured her that they looked great, but that didn't matter. She still despised them. Their material, their cut, their length, simply everything.

Now that she was finally just with her friends, however, she was able to put on her regular clothes, which currently consisted of baggy jeans, a white band tee, her favorite boots, and a gray flannel. She loved loose-fitting things, although many people told her she looked like a little kid who got into her mom's closet. The weather was getting colder and colder, so at least she didn't catch on fire in these clothes.

By 9.15, almost everyone was sitting in the lobby, the last one to arrive was Will (to no one's surprise). He plopped down next to Ava on the couch. They were both on twitter, not even looking up at each other. Jack looked both of them up and down and said the following:

"Are you some long-lost sibling pair?"

That's when the whole group looked up at the two of them for the first time. Both were wearing jeans, boots, white t-shirt and gray flannel. Ava's glasses, although not quite as round as Will's, had a metal frame that closely resembled his. Their hair was brown and similarly wavy. It even hung in their eyes the same way. Even their hair color looked similar in this light (although Ava's was a lighter shade of brown). At first glance, they truly looked like siblings. Naturally, the whole group burst into loud laughter at this discovery.

"Tell me you guys didn't plan it this way!" Ranboo exclaimed.

However, Ava and Will couldn't answer that, as they still couldn't catch their breath from laughing and tearing up, they could only shake their heads. Only after a few minutes Ava managed to get out the following:

"I swear it wasn't on purpose, Niki, please take a picture of this, I want to put it on my socials."

They both stood up, with their backs to the decorative stone wall of the lobby, so they could take a picture together. The big height difference between them made the situation even more comical, they looked more like a father-daughter duo now. They were already aware of the big height-difference between them, but so far it wasn't this apparent. They haven't stood directly side by side before this.

"How tall are you?" Will asked with a laugh.

"Around 167 cm (5'6), I'm only slightly taller than Niki."

"Then it really is a long-distance friendship, considering how short you are." Will barely caught his breath after this joke and spent the next five minutes making similar jabs. Ava only responded with a roll of her eyes and a chuckle.

"I mean, it's not my fault you were left out in the rain as a child and grew to this size." She shrugged.

The banter between the two continued even in the taxi, where Will asked Ranboo (who was similarly tall) to go with them. They both sat on either side of Ava, making these jokes. They were two against one, so the girl couldn't do much to make them stop. By the time they got to the bar, Ava had had enough of both of them, but that only made things worse and gave them more ammunition.

"Leave the poor girl alone." Phil chimed in jokingly.

"Come on, just let us have this." They asked Phil in unison.

"Okay, so from now on, every joke about my height costs a shot." Ava replied with a half-smile.

"I think they'll both be dead by midnight then." Phil looked at the girl, who only responded with a shrug.
