JUPITER'S POV

Spiderman got me home in no time. I was a bit uncomfortable during the ride, but it was okay.

"Okay...here we are," he said.

"Yeah...thanks Spidey, for everything," I replied.

"Don't worry Jup, it's my pleasure. See you tomorrow?" Spiderman's eyes were full of hope as he asked, Fuck!

"Yeah, I don't know. I have to talk to my parents about this, and I have school, so I'm not sure if I'm going to be able to..." I trailed off.

"Oh," Spiderman replied, a hint of disappointment in his voice.

"Yeah, I'm sorry."

"Don't worry about it," he said.

"I'm really sorry. You can stop at night tomorrow, and we can have a little talk then," I offered.

"Really?" Spiderman's face lit up.

"Yeah, just...don't let anyone see you."

"Okok, I won't. Goodbye, Jup."

"Goodbye, Spidey."

With that, he left. Now I had to face reality. My parents were my first priority.

NARRATOR'S POV:

Jupiter had been avoiding his parents and everyone in his life ever since the photo of him and Spiderman kissing on the terrace had gone viral. He even put his phone on airplane mode because he didn't know how to deal with the situation. But he knew he couldn't postpone it any longer. Finally, he mustered up the courage to leave his room and confront his parents. As soon as he walked into the living room, his mother's frustration was palpable.

"OH MY GOD JUPITER GILMORE WHERE WERE YOU!? We were looking for you! Why was your phone off?" she asked, her voice laced with annoyance.

Jupiter tried to come up with a plausible excuse on the spot. "Mum, I was with a friend. I'm sorry I didn't reply. I ran out of battery, so I couldn't text back," he lied.

His mother was not convinced. "Jupiter, you know better than this. You could have asked for your friend's phone. Not that I know who it is! Is that new friend of yours Parker? I should have known it was him!" she exclaimed.

"Mum, don't be like that. Pete's a good person! And no, it wasn't him I was with."

But his father cut him off, his tone much harsher than his mother's. "Oh for God's sake, we know you weren't with him! Don't you think we see the news?"

Jupiter felt like the floor had dropped out from under him. He had hoped that his parents wouldn't have found out, but he should have known better.

"Oh. So...you know?" he asked, his voice barely above a whisper.

"Of course we know! Everybody who knows your face knows!" his father said, exasperated.

Jupiter hung his head in shame. He knew he had let his parents down, but he didn't know what to say to make it better.

"I'm really sorry. I didn't want this to happen. I didn't know what to do, so I ran away. I'm so sorry," he said while almost crying.

Jupiter felt the weight of his parents' disappointment on his shoulders. He had never seen them so angry before. His parents looked at him with a mixture of disappointment and concern. For a few moments, there was an awkward silence in the room. But maybe it was his crying or the way he said that, but their faces changed completely. They weren't angry anymore.

"Oh...Jup, don't cry. We just want you to be safe. Your mother and I have talked about it, and we don't think that seeing Spiderman is a good idea. But maybe if you explain it to us, we can understand better. Now, you won't be able to explain if you don't calm down. Breathe," his father said, trying to soothe him.

Jupiter tried to calm down, he couldn't, but he tried to talk anyway.

"Umm...I-." Jupiter took a deep breath, his hands trembling as he tried to explain. "I...I met him that one day while taking out the trash and someone tried to rob me, and then he saved me, you know that." He paused, his voice cracking. "That was the day I met him...and we kept seeing each other...as friends..." He struggled to find the right words, tears streaming down his face. "But then...one thing escalated to another..." His voice trailed off, the weight of the situation too heavy for him to bear alone. "And then someone took the photo and...Please...help me...I don't know what to do."

"Ooh honeey, I'm so so sorry that happened to you, you should've told us before." His mom said hugging him

"I- I just didn't know how would you react...I'm sorry.."

"Don't worry about it Jup. Do you think it's really safe to meet with him?" His dad asked kindly.

"I..I think so, yes, he doesn't want to hurt me, I promise. Mum, if you want to talk to him to be safe It's totally fine, I'd just need to give him a heads up"

"Oh hun, I'd love that but now It's not the time for that. Why don't you go rest and we solve it tomorrow, is that okay with you?"

"Yes...I love you guys"

"We love you too Jup" His parents said at the same time.

His parents hugged him tightly, letting him know that they were there for him no matter what. Jupiter felt like a weight had been lifted off his shoulders as he realized that he didn't have to face this alone. That night, Jupiter could sleep perfectly, knowing that at least his parents knew and weren't mad about it.
