“Onceler, please listen…you really have to try and stay with me before it’s too late and you go…..” You trail off. “Go what?” Onceler said calmly, looking deep into your eyes for an answer of what you were trying to get at. You took a deep breath and took both his hands in yours, looking back at him. “Before you go corrupt, and push away everyone, and destroy your surroundings with toxicity, and greed…” You forced yourself to say after a long time of keeping everything deep down.
“I don't understand, Y/N, i’m successful now! I pushed through all the ups and downs of this for my family, and for us, how is this bad?” Onceler asked, almost innocently, the few bits of his genuine love and kindness in his eyes. You took another deep breath and looked at him more clearly, desperate to change his awfully lonely and pitiful fate.
“Once, your family is using you! Please see that! They never wanted anything good for you, all they wanted was to use you for the dirty work, and then they would sneak in and snatch your reward. Onceler, this isn’t you. You aren’t one of them, don’t you trust me?”
