Both of them sat on the bench. The sunlight was falling directly on the baby making the doctor happy.
"Just keep this object on the side or you can get hurt." Aarav spoke taking the instrument from her hands and keeping it in the side. Naina not protesting him at all.
"You love your baby a lot." said Aarav trying to make a conversation.
"Yes she is my life."
"What name have you thought for her"
"Aarohi"
"That's a lovely name"
He continued to talk to her. She was getting more comfortable with him.
Aarav- I heard that you were not taking your medicines that your doctor had given you.
Naina- I had taken all medicines they gave me. I never refused.
Aarav- Just see you got tired so easily holding your baby. I don't believe you have taken all medicines.
Naina- I have always taken all medicines. Believe me.
Naina was behaving just like a kid right now. The birth of a baby had taken a toll on her otherwise she was all OK before giving birth.
Aarav- You are so week right now and you have to take care of your baby also na medicine won't be enough you have to take injection now.
Naina- I will take any injection for my baby. I want to be all fit to take care of her. I am not afraid.
Aarav - See your baby also needs rest. You will let Dr Ankit check her so she is also fine and then both of you can go home.
Naina- ok give my Aarohi to that doctor but tell him not to give pain to her.
Aarav- Good. I will tell him to be kind to her.
Aarav called the doctor and told him to bring a sedative and take the baby.
Naina was so weak right now that she needed rest. A proper sleep was necessary at the moment.
Dr Ankit came back holding an injection of sedative which he passed onto Dr Aarav and stood there silently.
Aarav lifting up her sleeves- You will feel real good after this injection.
Naina closed her eyes in anticipation of the injection.
After discarding a few drops he wiped her upper arm and inserted the injection.
"Ahh ahh"
"Han han bas thoda sa aur" Said Aarav pushing the liquid of the injection onto her arm.
After a few seconds he was done. He rubbed the spot a little after taking out the injection.
"Remember your baby girl is in safe hands. And you will also be fine very soon." Aarav said to Naina while kissing her forehead.
She started feeling dizzy very soon all thanks to the sedative he had given her.
Aarav handed the baby to Dr Ankit after which he left.
2 nurses escorted Naina back to the hospital.
Dr Smita her gynaecologist came there.
"You should have checked on her mental wellbeing also apart from physical health. She had just given birth to a baby. It could be traumatising on her."
"Yes I should have checked. I will do my part now. I will plan a visit to the psychologist for her once she gets up."
"That will be good. Give me an update once it is fixed."
"Sure"
Aarav sighed out of relief.
Apert from being intelligent he was extremely soft hearted towards his patients and everyone in general.
He was honest, hardworking, an excellent doctor, loving and caring person.
A perfect human being.
A role model to other people.
Only one thing was missing.
His life partner.
But he was going to meet her very soon.
