Kiara

Anika was supposed to give me the medicine but she didn't and gone to ask Aarav.

I was only looking forward to this situation.

My back was hurting so much and I was feeling fatigued also.

I was feeling more low than my other period days.

Maybe I should have taken the painkiller tablet but Dr. Tanvi had warned me the serious outcome of taking this medicine regularly.

No I shouldn't.

Between what was Anika doing?

She came back empty handed.

Uff, it means Aarav also denied for the medicine.

"How will I feel better now?" I say out loud.

"Harsh is coming to check you."

"What no, i don't need any doctor to check me. It is a monthly affair for all girls. It's natural thing and not a disease that needs any treatment."

"I am not going to give you any treatment but just to help you." Harsh says as he comes in smiling carrying a bag in his hand.

He pulled the chair close to my bed and sat on it.

He must have understood my issue. How embarrassing.

"Aarav is in hospital? Harsh." Anika asks as he was tumbling with his things inside the bag.

What checkup was he gonna give me.

I don't need any checkup from him.

"Yes, Aarav is in surgery. He will take time to come back." He says as he held my eyelids apart and shone a bright light into it.

Without giving a break, he moved to my other eye and repeated the same thing.

Keeping the torch in his bag, he held my wrist focusing on the wall clock of my room.

After a few seconds, he made eye contact with me with a serious face.

"Be honest, kiara. What all is wrong at the moment?"

"Nothing is wrong."

"Be honest."

How do I tell him that i was feeling low because of terrible pain.

"Anika, can you give me the prescription she was given by her doctor."

Oh, God.

Harsh

Kiara was definitely low on energy. Her pulse was weak.

I could connect the dots.

Excess bleeding- causing pain- draining energy.

Looking at her eyes, she must be low on iron too.

She definitely needs painkillers. Only Dr. Tanvi can answer this.

"Anika, can you give me the prescription she was given by her doctor."

"Why" kiara's head shoots up.

"You might have missed something."

"Here." Anika says and hands me the prescription.

"Anika, are you my friend or not."

"Definitely your friend."

I focussed on the prescription.

It's written to avoid over the counter painkiller tablets.
