"You have a date with Spider-Woman?!?" Emily exclaimed as she did my hair, "no! I wouldn't say it was a date because she made it very obvious it wasn't... but it kind of humbled me down, In a weird way." I said as I put concealer on my eye, blending it smoothly.
"But she asked you out?" "I mean yeah, we've kinda been hanging out so you know this is nothing unusual, she just actually asked me this time." I explained.
"Well that sounds fun, anyways, guess what, in two weeks I'm turning 18, and I'm throwing a little event." "Everytime you say little I see 500 or more people at an event, just call it a party." "It's not though! It's a rave." I choked on my own saliva, "You gotta be kidding me- a rave? Do you even know what that is?!?" I asked in shock, she rolled her eyes and put makeup on herself, "Of course I fucking do, I already found a spot, some old abandon part of Brooklyn, it's like underground which makes it perfect ya know!" She exclaimed.
I scoffed, "Guess so." "Bitch you better come!" "I'm your cousin, I kinda have to." I replied.
"Well anyways, I gotta go! Boyfriend is waiting outside, see you at school, tell me all about your magical date with spider woman." She emphasized as she opened my room door, "Not a date EM!" I corrected her, "Right and my boyfriend is gay." She said sarcastically.
"If he was I'd fucking laugh at your ass." I said as I blew her a kiss goodbye.
"Y/n." My dad called out, "The gala is in a few hours, why haven't you gotten ready?"
