Demons in the Dark

That stupid demon came back again. Brennen grabs the sword from my hand and charges at it.
"Brennen! Stop!" I yell.
As he runs up the sword get knocked from his hands. His body gets flung to the side and hits the wall. Nirvana is standing there in pure horror. Kian tries to pull Nirvana away towards Brennen.
"Brennen! Are you okay?" Kian said.
Brennen was knocked unconscious and was now laying in a pool of blood.
I ran over to the sword and picked it up. The Thing was now down the stairs and was slowing walking to Brennen with its spindly fingers stretched out towards him.
"Kian! Nirvana! Get Brennen out of here!" I yelled.
Kian was now pulling Brennens body towards the stairs. Nirvana followed him to the stairs.
I held the sword in my hand and started to wave my hands to get the Thing away from them. It turned towards me with an ear piercing screech.
"Holy shit!" i whispered to myself.
It slowly made its advance toward me. 
"Claire! Watch out! And be careful!" Nirvana yelled at me.
"Guys, just go already! I'll be fine. Trust me."
I saw Nirvana turn around and pick up Brennens feet while Kian took the head. They slowly climbed up the steps. The Thing was still focused on me. It made slow steps towards towards me. I rose the sword up and when it started to run at me. At the last moment i held it out in front of my body. It ran right into the sword. The hilt of the sword was all the way through the Thing. It started to shrink away into purple mist. Then it was gone. I grabbed the sword and ran up the stairs. Once I was at the top I saw Kian and Nirvana standing with their hands on their knees trying to catch their breath. Brennen was still on the ground but his eyes were open in shock. I stood there and my friends looked up at me with smiles on their faces.
"We did it guys. We can go home now."
"You mean that it's... dead?" Kian said.
"Yes. It's over. Everything is over."
Brennen slowly say up.
"Hey are you okay?" I asked.
"Sup." was all he said back.
Kian and Nirvana started to laugh.
"Dude you'd do anything for attention from her." Kian laughed.
"It's good to see that you are back with us." Nirvana said.
I walked towards them.
"Let's go home."
Suddenly there was a blinding light and then everything was dark.

When we came to we were in our own times again. We didn't waste any time and we ran out to our car. I grabbed the keys from my pocket and immediately stared the car. I pulled out of the lot and sped toward the street.
"Kian start recording again. We are going to do a goodbye."
He got his camera out and started recording me.
"Hey guys! So that was crazy. Um. We probably won't be doing video's anytime soon but we will be sure to still update you guys on things. The lesson all of you should learn about this is to not do stupid things like what we just did. All the clips in this video will be real. No editing is happening. It will be completely raw footage of what happened. Just be careful and make sure you are safe. This is the gang signing off for now! See y'all soon!"
Kian cut the camera.
"Well. What now?" Nirvana said.
I looked in the review mirror at my best friends.
"Now we go home."
