I'm a hero for fun, not a father

"IT'S A MONSTERS!" shouted a civilian running from a giant monster.

Multiple people heard this and started to run to safety, shouting for a hero to save them.

"AHAHAHAHAHA, NOW LISTEN UP, WE THE SEA FOLK ARE COMING TO RECLAIM WHATS OURS, SO YOU ALL BETTER BE READY TO BE OUR SUSHI, AHAHAHAHAHAHA-HM!" the monster stated until he saw a bald man coming up to him.

"what are you some sort of octopus, AHAHAHAHAHA," the monster said laughing before being killed because of its comment.

*Why do a lot of people keep talking about my head...* Saitama thought annoyed.

Saitama raised its fist and punched the monster, making the guts explode out of its body. Saitama just looked at the corpse before turning his heel and walking away.

"I wonder how long Papa going to take?" Aisuru asked.

"I honestly don't know but I hope soon, he did say he was going to take us to the park with big bro Genos" Buru answered.

Saitama was walking home knowing he promised the kids a day out, when all he heard was some sort of cry, like a little child's. And the noise was coming from the stairs to his apartment.

*oh no...* Saitama thought.

The bald hero walked towards his stairs to see a small black figure with a strand of kombu on top of their hair. Saitama swore he could recognize the thing but his mind went blank.

"Uh excuse me?" Saitama asked getting the black thing's attention.

The black figure looked up at Saitama to recognize him, and at first, it was angry until it got a memory of what happened a couple of weeks ago.

This thing is Kombu infinity and it came to the surface from the sea to see if the rumour of monsters gathering was true, which sadly to them wasn't, but they did defeat two A class hero until it met Saitama, which it did try and attack but failed as Saitama was able to withstand the attacks.

But what Saitama did to the monster was something no one would've thought someone would do, picked all the kombu off its head and let the monster live, not killing it, now to lots of heroes this is strange, but with Saitama not, mainly for the fact that he now has monster kids to look after, so he decided to spear the monster.

"What?" Kombu asked.

"Well, I heard you crying and came to see what's wrong. And that you are in front of the stairs that go up to my apartment!" Saitama said.

Kombu Infinity looked up the stairs and just said "Oh,"

"Well, why are you here?" Saitama asked.

"I was going to get revenge on you for what you did to my hair, but I decided that it was pointless, so I'm just stuck here, just waiting for someone to kill me!" they answered.

"do you not have a place to go?" Saitama asked.

"no, I came here to see if the whole rumour that monsters were meeting here were true, but it also the fact that I wanted to get away from him!" kombu said.

"him?" Saitama questioned.

"Deep sea king!" Kombu said with a shaken voice.

Saitama noticed the fear in their voice and started to wonder if this Sea King guy is strong enough to give him a challenge.

"If I were to go back now, then I'll be killed! I made it clear that if I come back without killing a single thing then he'll kill me!" they said.

Kombu started to cry again as they thought their life was over. And Saitama going to regret what he's about to say!

"come with me!" Saitama said.

Kombu looked at the bald hero confused, they tried to see if he was up to something but because of how bored and plain the hero's face looked. they couldn't tell what he was thinking, so they nodded their head still not trusting him.

The monster followed Saitama up the stairs that they were sitting on.

*what is he thinking, that damn face of his, I can't even tell* Kombu thought.

They finally got in front of a door, which is Saitama's front door. Saitama opened his door and entered. Kombu hesitantly entered only to hear the sounds of kids running.

What Kombu saw surprised them, four kids look like monsters children, there was a girl with horns and another girl with a snake body. One boy has a dragon feature and another has six eyes.

But then Kombu was shocked by what they heard next, the kids jumped towards the bald hero and in their way called him dad. This confused Kombu Infinity they know that he meant to be some sort of hero so why does a hero have kids that are monsters?

Saitama turned to look at Kombu infinity and started to talk.

"there was a reason why I speared you, for a while now I have been looking after these kids and they helped me understand that not all monsters are mindless killing creatures, while most of the time I would be confused if a monster is a monster or just some exotic animal, and after I took your hair you were defenceless so why would I kill a monster who couldn't protect themselves," Saitama said.

Kombu looked at him with their eyes widen.

"so since I may as well ask, with you no longer having a place to go, would you like to stay here from now on?" Saitama asked completely taking the monster by surprise.

The monster just stared at the bald hero wondering if this was some sort of prank, but when they saw how happy those kids were they started to think.

*so I have three options, either I go back and get killed by the deep sea king, go out and I may get killed by some strong hero, or I stay here and live a new life, they look really happy...* Kombu thought.

They looked at the kids and saw that they were being stared at but they can see that the girl with horns was hugging the bald hero snuggling against his chest. So they knew what to choose.

"yes please, I would like to stay!" Kombu replied to the hero.

"OH! We got a new sibling!" Chita asked.

"yeah, you do!" Saitama answered

The kids walked over to the Kombu monster and started to talk with them while Aisuru kept snuggling with Saitama.

*I should probably not mention that the main reason I took their hair is that I forgot to buy Kombu!* Saitama thought.
