Chapter 29

He is continuously wagging his tail and I took my phone out from my Chanel 19 Large Flap Bag.

" Sophia, can you take us a photo?" I asked politely.

" Sure, Miss Kim"

At first, I hesitated to come closer to him but to my surprise, he walked and sat beside me. He glanced at me at first then he faced Sophia who positioned herself, ready to take a photo. I just realized he is even bigger up close. I comfortably sat in the grass and I swear I look like a kid beside Apollo.

" Don't be surprised anymore, Miss Kim. Apollo is a smart dog" Sophia muttered.

" Yeah, he is" I mumbled as I looked at him while he was facing Sophia.

" Miss Kim, face front"

I obeyed and I smiled widely. I giggled when I saw in my peripheral vision Apollo stick his tongue out.

I slowly put my hand on Apollo's back. I smiled when he didn't flinch and softly stroke it.

" Apollo?!" I turned when a woman shouted Apollo's name. I quickly stood up.

" Did I see it right?" I heard the woman mumble looking at Apollo, puzzled.

I looked down at Apollo who turned to face the woman as well. Wa- wait did I see him sigh? WAIT? The dog sighed. I swear I saw Apollo sigh when he saw this woman when he turned around.

" Miss Esther Yu!" I heard Sophia called. She approached us. Then she handed me my phone back.

" Thank you, Sophia"

" You're welcome, Miss Kim"

" What happened to our big boy?" The woman questioned.

" Oh, Miss Esther I think he made friends with Miss Kim" Sophia answered this woman named Esther if I didn't mishear.

Her eyes widened and she looked in disbelief, " He did what?"

" Apollo made friends with Miss Kim, Miss Esther," Sophia said and pointed me.

Esther faced me but immediately approached then she started checking on me. She's checking my hand, face, and feet. In short, she's scanning my whole body. Is she okay?

" Are you perhaps a different species, Ma'am?" She questioned, my eyebrows furrowed in confusion.

What did she mean by that?

" What do you mean, Miss?" I asked and awkwardly smiled at her.

" This dog doesn't have any idea humans and other animals exist except for his owner though and you," Esther said.

" Huh?" I mumbled I couldn't understand what she meant.

I heard Sophia chuckle and spoke, " I told you, Miss Kim. He's cold to everyone and can't trust other people but I really do think he sees something in you that's why he's comfortable with you. He even trusted you to touch him"

I saw Esther was about to open her mouth but my phone rang. I check who it is and it's Kai. I excused myself and answered the call. Kuma is still in my arms.

ON THE PHONE:

" Pretty, where are you now? Are you home?"

" I am still here in Kai and Kuma's daycare. But we are going home soon"

" That's great, I thought you went somewhere else"

" What? I'm here at the Dog Daycare, Kai"

" Yeah, that's great"
