"𝐏𝐋𝐄𝐀𝐒𝐄 𝐌𝐀𝐊𝐄 𝐘𝐎𝐔𝐑𝐒𝐄𝐋𝐕𝐄𝐒 𝐀𝐓 𝐇𝐎𝐌𝐄." Wing unlocked his front door, then warmly welcomed you all inside.

"Hmm, nice place you've got here," you commented, nodding appreciatively at Wing, who was kindly holding open the door for you. You glanced around, letting your gaze sweep the house's interior design.

Although, I must say the orange walls are hideous.

Wing smiled at your words but quickly shifted back into his teaching mode. He strode across the room, passing by the sofa and coffee table, towards a whiteboard. Intrigued, the three of you, alongside Wing's faithful student Zushi, shuffled over.

The young man reached for a marker, twisted off the cap and started writing. While he wrote, you glimpsed at Gon from the corner of your eye and offered him a goofy smile. He responded with one of his own, equally humoured by the obscurity of the situation.

Wing cleared his throat, snatching your focus. "Do I have your attention?"

"Always," you immediately replied.

Wing released a sigh, his smile twitching. "Thank you, Y/N," he nodded before promptly moving on. "Nen means to burn your own soul. In other words, it tests your strength of will."

What if one's will is nonexistent? Aka: mine.

Whilst he explained, he jotted down some key terms on the board. "The four major principles are part of a training curriculum for strengthening your will."

"Strengthening your will?" Gon echoed.

Killua pursed his lips, furrowing his brows. "Training?"

"That's correct," Wing confirmed, scribbling away. "Ten means to focus your soul on a single point, to increase awareness of your ego and goals. Zetsu means to express yourself in words. Ren means to temper that will, and lastly, Hatsu means to act upon that will."

Focus, express, temper, act...that can't be it, surely.

Lost in contemplation, you crossed your arms. "...It's kind of poetic in a way."

Unbeknownst to you, Wing spared you one of those 'fascinated' teacher looks. The one you might get after randomly making a slightly impressive comment that makes whoever is teaching feel grateful that someone in the room has a brain and wants to contribute.

"Killua, Zushi tempered his 'refusal to lose' during his fight with you," Wing disclosed before turning to you. "And Y/N, I'm sure you must've felt a similar energy during your match with him too."

You grimaced. "Yeah, it was freaky. Zushi looked like he wanted to punch me in the jugular."

"I'd never do that, Miss Y/N!" Zushi denied, eyes full of genuine panic.
