"I know you don't like the press, Sidney, I get it. I respect that. But Sidney..." he put her hand in her jaw moving her head to face him, she looked at him uncomfortably so Frankie moved her friend behind her slightly to put more space between her and Cotton
"it's Diane Sawyer, hello? She's a class act. This could be some very heavy exposure,"
"Look, between the movie and the book..." Sidney interjected. "...people know the truth. Let's get on with our lives. There's been enough exposure, why would you want any more?"
"Because he's selfish and is out for the money grab and fame, sound about right?" Frankie added still glaring daggers at cotton as she attempted to leave once more with her friend but Cotton sidestepped them
"I don't know, Sid, maybe because I fucking deserve a little exposure," he said. His voice became much more hostile. His eyes pierced into Sidney's soul.
He started backing the two down the stairs as Sidney gripped the railing and Frankie for dear life. Even Frankie felt threatened by Cotton
"I mean, come on, you dragged my name through the mud, everybody thinks I'm some kind of psycho killer, and all I am asking for is one little fucking Diane Sawyer interview to get my side of the story straight," Cotton said angrily. "I dont think I'm being unreasonable in that request; Do you, honestly?"
Sidney was almost speechless as she then turned him down again keeping her cool "I'm sorry Cotton but...no,"
Cotton hummed his eyes still locked into Sidney "You're sorry? I bet you're real sorry..." Cotton said, his voice quivering, and his eyes narrowing "let's go" Frankie whispered pushing past cotton with Sidney but then the man grabbed Sidney's arm "Such a good angle, Sid." She ripped her arm from his grip as the two girls went to walk back into the library but cotton wasn't done making a scene "Loveable and fucked up Sidney Prescott everybody! Everyone's favorite little victim!" Cotton shouted across the library. Everyone turned to look at the commotion. Then the two detectives flew into action, grabbing Cotton and pinning him against a bookshelf.
Cotton cried in pain, as handcuffs were wrapped around his wrists. "What are you doing?"
"Hands on your head!" Detective Richards commanded.
"Jesus Christ! I'm not Billy Loomis, she killed him. He's dead, remember?" Cotton cried Frankie glanced at Sidney who just watched the scene with a emotionless look
"Shut the fuck up!" bellowed Detective Andrews.

Blair felt like she hadn't stopped crying, even now she stared emotionless at the wooden table in front of her. Sidney, Frankie and Hallie had just been informed by Dewey about Randys death, now they were crying too. Blair just wanted this all to be over, she couldn't lose anymore people in her life. Apparently Cotton had been arrested for harassing Sidney and Frankie in the library, she glanced up at the sheriffs office now and then to throw him a murderous glare
"It shouldn't have been, Randy" Sidney cried rubbing her forehead "it should've been me" Blair's head snapped up to look at her best friend questionably "don't say that, Sid" Sidney looked at Blair with so much regret and sympathy, she knew how much Blair loved him- a different kind of love compared to Billy. Blair's clothes were still stained red with Randys blood, she was escorted to the sheriffs office straight away so she didn't get to change
"I should call his mother" Sidney said trying to distract herself from the situation at hand "I already made that call" Dewey told Sidney who then glanced back down at the table, Dewey winced "are you okay?"
"Stop treating me like glass Dewey I'm not gonna break" Sidney said sternly, Blair looked at the ring on her index finger sadly. It was a gift from Randy, it had a small half moon on it with a blue gem stones in the middle of the moon and small diamonds around it. He had a golden one with the sun on it, when you put the two rings together they connected. But now her sunshine was gone and he was never coming back
"It's okay to break, Sid" Hallie told her friend who shook her head "that's not gonna happen"
Frankie sniffled wiping her tears away "I can't believe we lost Cici and now Randy too" Blair rubbed her friends back comfortingly, she was now determined to make this fucker pay. She was going to make sure they didn't walk away from this alive, even if it's the last thing she does. They then heard Cotton yelling inside the office which caught their attention, the Chief exited his office speaking to Dewey just as Cotton exited the office signing some documents, Blair watched him like a hawk. He spoke to Gale briefly then he began making his way over to them, she stood up stopping him before he even had a chance to speak to Sidney "lay a hand on her again and I'll kill you myself, understand?" She spat glaring daggers as she stared threateningly into his soul. He looked down at her with slight fear and concern, he knew she killed Stu Macher who was a lot bigger than her. And judging by her tone and face she'd not only do it again but she was dead serious, this was no threat, this was a promise
"Understood" he said hesitantly as he gulped the Chief then pushed him forward "come on" Blair glared as she watched him go, Frankie stood up gently pulling Blair by the hand back into her seat. Dewey leaned forward "they're going to take you girls somewhere safe"
"Yeah? Where's that?" Sidney asked meanwhile Blair didn't want to go to a safe house she wanted to avenge her boyfriend and make his killer suffer but she'd prefer for the rest of her remaining friends to go so she didn't have to worry "I don't know, but we'll be there with you" Hallie told Sidney as she glanced between the other two girls. The chief walked back over to them "we should get going, go back to your dorm and pack a few things. There's a campus lock in this evening, no one's allowed out after dark, okay?" the four girls all nodded understandably as he smiled before walking off, Dewey approached them "who's doing this Dewey?" Sidney asked Blair then stepped up "someone who won't be alive much longer"
Dewey sent her a pointed look as if to say 'stop mentioning murder in a police station' Blair couldn't care less, not anymore. The fucker was going to die and she was going to make sure it was her who's holding the knife "if not Cotton then who?" Frankie added to Sidney's last statement, Dewey shrugged "I don't know, but we'll catch him"
No, they wouldn't catch him, but Blair sure would. Randy and Cici were not going to die in vain, like Randy told her, she was a final girl. And in this movie she was not a helpless victim, no, but this time she was going to make sure she was worse than the killer and that was a fact.

I miss Randy...and Billy.
